3 Great Restaurants Serving Up Breakfast Family Style at Walt Disney World

While the breakfast buffet is a tradition for many regular guests at Walt Disney World, not everyone is fond of the serve yourself, steam-table style that is the hallmark of this culinary genre. Don't let that stop you from exploring some of the other awesome breakfast options Disney has to offer. For folks looking for a table service experience that still has the all-you-care-to-eat family fuel-up, we've got 3 Great Restaurants that are Serving Up Breakfast Family Style at Walt Disney World.

New Again! The Garden Grill

Beginning November 8th, 2015 The Garden Grill at Epcot's Land Pavilion will be adding breakfast service. Chip and Dale are the jovial hosts of this bountiful farm fresh character breakfast. Served up family style, Chip 'n' Dale's Harvest Feast includes: Chips's Sticky Bun Bake, Fresh Fruit, Scrambled Eggs, Home-styled Potato Barrels, Bacon, Sliced Ham, and plenty of Mickey Waffles. The scenery is always changing as the Garden Grill dinning room slowly revolves, giving dinners different views of the Living With The Land attraction below. While the motion sensitivity is barely perceivable, guests with high motion sensitivity should be aware before making advanced dining reservations.

A Rowdy Good Time at Whispering Canyon Cafe

This is my go-to meet-up meal for enjoying a bountiful breakfast with friends. While there is a delicious a-la-carte menu at this Wilderness Lodge restaurant, the All-You-Care-To-Enjoy Breakfast Platter can be ordered up for each adult in your party for just $16.49* ($8.49* for children) making it one of Walt Disney World's very best breakfast values. The platter includes Scrambled Eggs, Western Home Fries, Bacon, Sausage, Mickey Waffles, Buttermilk Biscuits, and delicious Sausage Gravy!

A Royal Banquet at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall

This may be one of the most underrated breakfasts in all of Walt Disney World. Located in Epcot's Norway Pavilion, Akershus offers a full Princess dining experience for guests who want some table time with their royal hostesses. The menu offers not only a beautiful Norwegian Smorgasbord of smoked fish, meats, cheeses, fresh fruit, and pastries, but also hearty plates of All-You-Care-To-Enjoy Scrambled Eggs, Sausage, Bacon, and creamy Potato Casserole. Depending on the time of year this meal is between $30 to $59.99 per adult " however at just one Disney Dining Plan Table Service Credit the atmosphere and character time give this breakfast a lot of bang for its buck.

We have 4 or 5 character breakfasts during our 16 night stay at Disney every year. Chef Mickey's on the first day is a ritual for us, then we usually go to Crystal Palace (before Magic Kingdom gates open), Cape May (nice and peaceful), and Ohana (not so good food but great with Lilo and Stitch). This year we need to ditch two as we have bookings at Tusker House and Garden Grill (before Epcot opens). Too many choices....................

I know you think this is WDW for adults, but I have to say, it surely is NOT for senior adults on fixed incomes! For the price of one of these breakfasts, my husband and I would have to get at least two meals, if not four! I would love to come back to WDW, but it is way beyond our ability to pay even for the entrance tickets!
