Tusker House is one of the classic restaurants of Disney's Animal Kingdom. This family friendly buffet located in Harambe Village offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner with Mickey and friends. Whether you're looking for a great spot to start your day, or any meal right through until the end of the night, Tusker House is serving up hearty fare for the whole family. Africa is one of my favorite areas of Walt Disney World because the theming is so complete. Tusker House restaurant is an extension of this immersive world, with every corner of the multi-room restaurant offering examples of art and artifacts being used to create another time and place. Colorfully dyed cloths, woven baskets, aged finishes to the walls, safari maps, and a warm courtyard set the scene for a day of fun.

Tusker House is a buffet restaurant, and its extensive selection of dishes range from African exotics to classic American flavors. There is a little something for just about anyone to enjoy on the menu at this family buffet. If you'll be stopping by for breakfast, you'll even find the fan favorite mini Mickey Waffles with hot maple syrup to douse them in.

Tusker House is a character meal and the interaction is great. Tables here are attended by Mickey, Donald, Daisy, and Goofy all dressed in safari gear. There are some character meals on property where you can feel rushed, this isn't one of them. Sit back and enjoy your meal, if you haven't had enough time with a specific character, feel free to wait through until they come around again.

The Rivers of Light Dining Package is available at all of the Tusker House meal services. If you book your reservation under the dining package (just 1 table service credit on the Disney Dining Plan) you'll have access to priority seating for an evening show of the beautiful Rivers of Light.

True to the underlying theme of Disney's Animal Kingdom, Tusker House requests responsible consumption from its guests. Guests are happily encouraged to eat all they care to, but gently reminded to be mindful of what they take from the buffet and make repeat trips.

Repeat trips are a must with the delicious fare on the buffet. If you tuck a zip-loc baggie in your daypack you can even take away some Mickey Waffles to munch on later in the day.
