I have never upgraded, but Paradise Pier at DLR upgraded my room to a higher floor with a view of World of Color and DCA which was great. Unfortunately, I cannot visit WDW often so I usually skimp on upgrades since we will spend more time/money in the parks. Having said that, if I would do the Club Level option if it fit our plans. At non-Disney hotels I found the concierge service to be a real treat or splurge.

I have to say that the best upgrade of all is Disney Vacation Club. You stay at the best resorts, have access to kitchen facilities to save money on a few meals and enjoy fantastic ambiance.
