The Ale and Compass Lounge is a modest spot located in a cozy nook just off of the lobby at Disney's Yacht Club Resort. It's a quick spot to grab breakfast before heading off to the parks, or a great place to relax with a night cap while winding down for the evening.
According to the Walt Disney World Website, the Ale and Compass is open for a "continental style, a la carte breakfast" in the morning with a selection of modest $15 and under offerings. Along with comfy couches and wing-backed chairs, the small round tables and furnishings reflect the masculine, nautical theme of the resort. I've heard it said that the feeling evoked by Ale and Compass is "like being at home in your den."
From 4pm until midnight this casual den turns to an evening selection of premium liquors, beer and wine. High end Scotch, Bourbon and Cognac are ready to be poured for your enjoyment. The clinking of glasses together and buzz conversation offers a comfortable place for classic New England cocktails while you sip and socialize. Never to seem stuffy, some fun expressions of mixology at Ale and Compass include:
Snacks are served in the evening and may include crisp breads and dips, as well as a fruit and cheese board. The food is just enough to nibble before heading to your dinner reservations at the Yachtsman's Steak House or Captain's Grille. Tables in Wonderland is accepted at this establishment.
Ale and Compass is on my "to do" list for our next Disney adventure. Have you stopped by to have a drink at this lounge? How was your experience and what tips can you pass on for other guests? Leave me a comment and let me know!

I've imbibed in just about every bar and lounge within Walt Disney World, but never the Ale & Compass.
It has nothing to do with the Ale & Compass itself.
It's the fact that the amazing Crew's Cup Lounge is right around the corner.
I can't pass that place up.
But I'll have to pop in and give Ale & Compass a try.

This is a nice place to grab a drink and relax. We were here in November and the bartender was so friendly. Had a table where we could sit and people watch for a while.
