The Boathouse at Disney Springs Offers Lunch & Launch

The BOATHOUSE at Disney Spring is one of many fabulous eateries that are taking the shopping, dining, and entertainment complex to another level. The massive Boathouse complex holds three bars, several dining rooms that seat a total of 600 people, a museum quality collection of rare boats, a gift shop, and the launch for one of the most unique experiences anywhere - Vintage Amphicar Tours of Disney Springs.

Yes! Amphicar Tours! An Amphicar is an amphibious automobile, manufactured in West Germany and marketed in the United States from 1962-1967. The Amphicar offered modest performance compared to other boats or cars of its day, but it did feature lights and flag as mandated by Coast Guard for a bonus. According to them, The BOATHOUSE is the only place - in the world - that offers the thrilling and unique experience of riding in an actual Amphicar. Up to three guests can climb into one of these unique vehicles on land with their personal Captain, drive down the ramp and splash in for a 20-minute guided tour on the waters of Disney Springs.

Currently The BOATHOUSE is offering a Lunch & Launch deal for $125 per car.

When you eat lunch at The BOATHOUSE between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. you'll receive $25 off your Amphicar Tour booking. The food here focuses on steaks, chops, and of course, super fresh seafood. However, those looking for a great burger or meal sized salad will be just as happy. Just remember this is a signature dining experience, and the prices match. Head over to our friends at the Disney Food Blog to read their lunch review.

After you've eaten, simply bring your lunch receipt into the Ship's Store by 3:00 p.m. to arrange your tour and take advantage of this special offer. Amphicar Tours run daily from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. weather permitting, while the daytime tours are fun, the lights reflecting off the water after sunset make the night-time ride something special in my opinion.

Guests looking to make walk-up reservations should stop in to the Ship's Store, adjacent to The BOATHOUSE. Like all things Disney, hours and prices are subject to change without notice. Have you been to The BOATHOUSE or taken an Amphicar ride yet? Leave a comment below, we'd love to hear your story.
