Disney Cruise Lines Raises Minimum Age for Babies from 12 weeks to Six Months

Disney Cruise Line has announced a change to its infant policy, increasing the minimum sailing age from 12 weeks to six months of age for most sailings.

The new policy was effective as of July 18 for all new bookings for sailings after January 1, 2015.

Disney Cruise Line has been the only cruise line to allow kids under the age of six months on their ships.

Guests who have already booked cruises for 2015 with a child between 12 weeks and one year of age will still be able to sail on their reservation. These guests are reportedly being notified of the policy changed but they are being granted an exception to the policy.

Children sailing on longer cruises, including Hawaii, Panama Canal, and Transatlantic itineraries must now be one year old according to the new policy.
