Disney World annual pass

Are you ready to take the Disney World Annual Pass plunge? Or are you already a loyal Annual Passholder?

For those of us outside Florida, there are a few annual pass options. The Theme Park Annual Pass allows for park-hopper entrance into all four major theme parks, with no black-out dates. For kids, they're priced at $450 per year, and for adults, $499. There's a discount for those who are Disney Vacation Club members.

If you want even more access, go with the Theme Park Premium Annual Pass. This gives you the same access as the Theme park Annual Pass, plus entrance into Typhoon Lagoon, Blizzard Beach, DisneyQuest and the Oak Trail Golf Course. For kids, this pass is $567, and for adults, $629.

For Florida residents, there's the Florida Resident Seasonal Pass and the Florida Resident Annual Pass. The Florida Resident Seasonal Pass has block-out dates during the Easter, peak summer and peak Christmas seasons. [Here are the block-out dates] It's currently priced at $275.84. The Florida Resident Annual Pass has no block-out dates and is currently priced at $403.64, and the Premium Annual pass is $531.44. There are a couple cheaper passes -- the Weekday Select Pass and the Epcot after 4 pass too, for Florida residents.

Some other perks of being an Annual Passholder include free parking, dining discounts and other special discounts, access to passholder-only events, and more. See more info on the Disney World Annual Passholder program here.

We are taking the Annual Pass plunge this Spring, for the first time, as we are planning multiple trips throughout this year. We are testing out the costs, benefits and hopefully the savings.

My parents are because they go twice a year. Us on the other hand were, but this year we will be buying the park hopper passes. The annual pass is great, but for us... the regular one will have to do.

We've been passholders for 12 yrs now, and it's just as exciting now as it was when we first started going. We live an hr away in Tampa so we go at least 2x a month. We are both teachers so we have all summer to enjoy, that makes it worth it for us. I was at Hollywood Studios (MGM then) the day before I had my daughter, and her first trip to Disney was when she was 3 weeks old! Our teenagers aren't always thrilled to go with us, but they do still enjoy it. It's a chunk of our entertainment budget but we definitely feel it's worth it, we use it! We have games we play to decide who gets to decide what park we go to, and lots of other family Disney traditions, along with LOTS of Disney memories!

Why can't annual passholders have the same renewal benefit as Florida resident AP's. Monthly payments would be wonderful for renewal.
