Disney World Cast Member Recognized for Workplace Safety

The American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) has recognized a Disney cast member for dedication and accomplishment in the field of safety.

Heather Earl, a Manager of Safety Services for Walt Disney World Resort, leads a team of seven safety professionals who oversee the safety program for more than 10,000 cast members at the Walt Disney World Resort. The programs overseen by Earl's team include cast members in Attractions, Custodial, Entertainment, Foods, Merchandise, Security, Horticulture, Photography, Costuming, Engineering, as well as Construction and Food Safety and Public Health.

The ASSE presents the annual Diversity in the Safety, Health and Environment Profession Award to a safety professional that increases diversity awareness in the safety profession. The ASSE was founded in 1911, and is the nation's oldest professional safety organization.
