Downtown Disney Ready to Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with Music, Dancing, and Food

It's time for the annual wearin' of the green as Downtown Disney prepares to celebrate St. Patrick's Day next month.

The St. Patrick's Day celebration pays homage to Celtic culture through dance, music, and food at Raglan Road Irish Pub & Restaurant and throughout Downtown Disney.

Three stages will feature 10 top Irish bands and professional Irish dancers performing during select days of the festival. From March 7-14 performances are scheduled from 5 p.m. until 1 a.m. daily, and then from noon until 1 a.m. from March 15-17.

Scheduled performers include The Willis Clan, U2 tribute band Elevation, Goitse, Three Dollar Band, We Banjo 3, The Ragland Rebels, The Brazen Heads, and the Raglan Road house bands Creel and The West Coast Trio.

The Raglan Road dancers are scheduled to perform daily, and Irish dancer and choreographer Ronan McCormack from the original Riverdance will lead Irish Dance Workshops "From Roots to Riverdance."

Other festival entertainment includes 50 musicians and dancers, face painting, stilt walkers, and more. At The Mighty Family Zone guests can get a picture with Kermit, play games, and more at the Mighty St. Patrick's Festival.

The Disney Food Trucks will be serving up a special St. Patrick's Day-themed cupcake, and guests can also dine on Fisherman's Pie, from the Ireland kiosk at the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, at the World Showcase of Flavors Food Truck.

Irish celebrity chef Kevin Dundon of Raglan Road will be creating traditional dishes including loin of bacon and cabbage, while Cooke's of Dublin will offer fish and chips, battered sausages, and deep-fried candy bars.

Guests wishing to dine at Raglan Road on St. Patrick's Day will be served on a first-come, first-served basis with a cover charge of $10 for each guest over age 18. Reservations are available for other festival days.
