Everyone loves to make a stop at Goofy's Candy Co. when spending the day at Disney Springs, but did you know that there's another spot to stock up on your sweet treats with character? The Candy Cauldron is bubbling up some sinfully delicious sugary sweets.
Inside the Candy Cauldron the atmosphere is total cartoon witch lair complete with painted stone dungeon with magical tomes and glowing lights. A statue of the Evil Queen in disguise and an old hag rules over the spooky space.
Guests can find just about any candy delight they can imagine at the Candy Cauldron. There are Giant Suckers, Sweet Novelties, Gummies and Jaw Breakers on spinning towers through the center of the store. On the wall guests can fill their bags with bulk candy from an organ themed dispenser. Every evil sanctuary needs a candy organ, right?
The Candy Cauldron has a plethora of freshly made confections for guests to choose from. Favorite sweet treats include Mickey Krispie Treats, Cake Pops, Cookies, Marshmallow Kabobs, Caramel Apple, Cupcakes, Fudge, and more. Many of the assorted sweets incorporate seasonal or character inspired designs. Guests can even watch the treats being made through a window into the confections room.
I couldn't leave this enchanted lair without a little something special to snack on. Somehow a fully loaded Mickey Krispie Treat made its way into my hand. This indulgent traditional snack gets a rich sprinkle of yogurt, dark chocolate, and peanut butter chips before it's drizzled with white chocolate.
While the fully loaded Mickey Krispie Treat is sinfully sweet, the cacophony of flavors all mixed together was just a little bit too much for me. No worries though, there are plenty of treats for me to choose from next time.
There you have the hot spot for tasty treats on Disney Springs' West Side. Just don't actually take an apple from the witch, she can't be trusted. The friendly cast members however, they'll hook you right up.
