Finding Nemo - The Musical is a family favorite at Animal Kingdom.
Housed inside the Theater in the Wild, Finding Nemo - The Musical was actually a replacement for an older show, Tarzan Rocks. The 40-minute show, which opened on January 2, 2007, is performed five times a day.
An interesting fact: Finding Nemo was the first non-musical animated film to which Disney added songs in order to produce a stage musical. Disney hired Tony Award-winning Avenue Q composer Robert Lopez and his wife, Kristen Anderson-Lopez, to compose the new songs.
Tony Award-winning director Peter Brosius directed the show, and puppet designer Michael Curry also designed puppets for Disney's Broadway version of The Lion King.
The songs in the musical take their cues from lines in the movie, such as "(In The) Big Blue World," "Fish Are Friends, Not Food," "Just Keep Swimming," and "Go With the Flow."
Finding Nemo - The Musical is great for all ages. Is there someone in your clan who especially loves the show? Leave a comment below, and check out a performance of the musical below.

I took my mom to AK for the first time in February, and we loved Finding Nemo: The Musical! I think she just went to humor me at first, but (like all Disney shows) you can't judge it until you give it a try - they usually have something that will appeal to just about everyone. I liked it so much that I was so happy to find a Finding Nemo: The Musical pin to add to my collection!
