Liberty Tree Tavern is Serving Thanksgiving Dinner 365 Days a Year

Happy Thanksgiving! We've got plenty to be thankful for, especially with readers like you! Any time that you can gather your family around a table and enjoy a good meal is cause for celebration, and even more so when you get to do so in Walt Disney World. I just can't think of a better place to share a Thanksgiving meal at than Liberty Tree Tavern in the Magic Kingdom.

Nestled in Liberty Square, just beyond the giant old oak Liberty Tree you can find this gem of Disney Dining. Though it's theming is later than when the Pilgrims hit Plymouth rock, it still transports you back to the earliest days of our country. The 18th Century colonial American decor evokes a visit to the home of an early American patriot with six rooms of rich woods, historic fabrics, and colonial artifacts.

For lunch the tavern's menu offers a selection of classic American favorites such as a New England Clam Chowder and Yankee Pot Roast, as well as several sandwiches and salads to delight your palate. You should check out Brad's fantastic lunch review of the Liberty Tree Tavern from last year to find out why it's one of his all time Disney Dining favorites.

The Liberty Tree Tavern dinner menu makes for a great Thanksgiving Day dining experience 365 days a year. Served up family style, the all you can eat menu includes: roast turkey breast, carved beef, and pork loin, mashed potatoes, garden vegetables, bread stuffing, gravy and a decadent macaroni and cheese. The warm cherry cobbler for dessert is a sweet sensation and to drink you can enjoy a Patriot's Punch served with a Liberty Tree Tavern Collector's Mug.

Don't be fooled by the name though, "tavern" is a bit of a misnomer as the Magic Kingdom is an alcohol free environment. Many people believe that the Liberty Tree Tavern is one of the best places to sit down for a meal when in the Magic Kingdom. A meal here will cost you one table service credit on the Disney Dining Plan.

Have you been to the Liberty Tree Tavern lately? How was your experience? Is this the place you would pick to celebrate Thanksgiving while at Walt Disney World? Leave me a comment below and let me know what you think!

I love the Liberty Tree Tavern. I always get the Pilgrim's Feast for lunch.
