The holidays are such a beautiful time of year down at the Walt Disney World Resort. I especially love the feeling at night when the Magic Kingdom is decked out in garlands and lights. There's nothing quite like enjoying your favorite hot beverage on a cool night while watching your favorite Disney characters joined by dancing gingerbread men and elves traveling right down the middle of Main Street U.S.A. This year during Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, and Olaf join the festive Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade procession.
With a special appearance from Santa Claus himself, and experiencing a magical snow there's no way this parade doesn't rank amongst the best ones Disney has ever offered. In total Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade includes 170 Costumed performers and 15 dazzling parade floats specially designed to bring you holiday cheer.
Thanks to the Disney Parks Blog, even if you didn't get the chance to catch "Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade" as it happens on Main Street, you can still enjoy the holiday celebration at home! I'll be honest, my daughter and I have been watching an awful lot of Disney Christmas videos this year to celebrate the spirit of the season. So go grab a cup of cocoa, set your video player to full screen, and enjoy this holiday favorite! The action starts around the 2:00 mark.
You you're headed to the Magic Kingdom soon, you can still catch "Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade" live during Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party! There are just a couple of 2014 parties left to enjoy, so if you don't want to miss it, be sure to pick up tickets for on December 11, 12, 14, 16, or 18.
