Mo’Rockin Rocks Disney World

During your visit to Walt Disney World, make sure to stop by the Morocco Pavilion at Epcot theme park to check out the 6-person musical group Mo'Rockin. This highly entertaining ensemble blends Middle Eastern, Spanish, African and American rhythms into gorgeous songs that people of all ages will love.

Founded in 1998 by Amir Ali (lead singer, violinist and lute player) Mo'Rockin uses both traditional and modern instruments to create a high energy blend of world music unlike any you've heard before. The band is also comprised of Ilham (backup vocals and dancer,) Dave Lowrey (bass guitar,) Rene Zayas (keys and backup vocals,) Abdelilah Tahour (backup vocals) and Mathew Antolick (zendrum.)

In addition to the vocals and instrumentals, the group has a belly dancer on stage to create a feast for the eyes as well as the ears!

While they can be found performing regularly at Walt Disney World, prior to this Amir Ali recorded two albums with Mo'Rockin - Sands of Time and One World. These albums have sold thousands of copies independently over the years. Additionally, Ali himself has recorded with all of the music industry giants including Sony and Warner Brothers.

When you consider Ali's background in music, it then comes as no surprise how well-received Mo'Rockin is when they perform on stage at Disney World. Ali has been studying music since his childhood, and at 17 years old was offered a position as a soloist in a 30 piece orchestra.

To make sure you get a chance to see Mo'Rockin in person when you visit the parks, check the Times Guide at Epcot to see when they'll be performing. Each performance lasts for approximately 20 minutes, and there's usually plenty of space so viewing should not be a problem.

Performances are free with your park admission, so don't miss the opportunity to check out Mo'Rockin on your next visit!
