We've already seen spectacular new additions to the from not only the Disney company, but high end retailers and celebrity chefs who have come for their slice of the Disney tourist pie. This truly grand destination redefines "downtown" with breezy open-air promenades, pretty meandering springs and a lively waterfront charm.

If you've never spent much time in this area of Walt Disney World before, you may want to re-think your travel plans for 2016 and allow for an extra day of relaxing (or marathon shopping, it's your choice) amongst a diverse mix of retailers that are coming soon. Guests can look forward to premium, affordable luxury and fast fashion options like Edward Beiner, Lilly Pulitzer, L'Occitane en Provence, PANDORA, Tommy Bahama, UGG, UNIQLO and Zara.

Least you think it's all about the merchandise, you may want to think again because the new slate of eateries slated for Disney Springs are enough to make a foodie swoon. Not one, but two more celebrity chefs and a have tossed their hat in the ring and announced restaurant locations coming to Disney Springs.

New Southern Cuisine is what's in store from Florida native Chef Art Smith who is setting up shop in a rustic-chic kitchen to showcase farm-to-fork cuisine that's all about the bounty of Florida. Homecoming: Florida Kitchen and Southern Shine bar will also feature whimsical cocktails, punches and coolers, including some made with now-legal variations of moonshine. Chef Smith will move in sometime in summer 2016.

Also in summer 2016 - Chef Rick Bayless, a six-time James Beard Foundation winner, is bringing Frontera Fresco. The new 200 seat table-service Mexican restaurant will feature authentic specialties such as hand-crafted tortas, tacos, salads, fresh-made guacamole and classic Mexican braised meat entrees, all prepared from time-honored recipes with natural, locally sourced ingredients.

  • The Ganachery (opening 2015) - A new chocolate shop with fresh batches of ganache chocolate custom blend flavored with the world's finest spices and flavors, blended daily.

  • STK (Fall 2015) - A modern upscale steakhouse mixed with the ambiance of a sleek high energy lounge. The lively scene will offer guests fine dining, signature cocktails, and a DJ playing vibrant eclectic music each night.

  • The Edison (opening June 2016) - A lavish "Industrial Gothic" style restaurant, bar, this nighttime destination that will feature exceptional American food, artisanal craft cocktails and unparalleled live entertainment to fit its theme.

  • Sprinkles (opening 2016) - We've written about this one before, and can't wait for the 24/7 Cupcake ATM!! The world's first cupcake bakery, serves up handcrafted cupcakes, slow churned ice cream and homemade cookies.

  • Blaze Fast-Fire'd Pizza (opening 2016) - Super-fast casual Blaze Fast-Fire'd Pizza is a modern day "pizza joint" known for its custom-built artisanal pizzas, and sinful s'more pies.
