New Bird Show Debuting at Disney’s Animal Kingdom this Summer

More changes are headed to Disney's Animal Kingdom this summer as a new live bird show is set to debut.

The show is called Winged Encounters-The Kingdom Takes Flight and it will feature six types of birds including macaws.

'Winged Encounters' will showcase macaws in flight and will also feature bird experts who will share conservation stories with the audience. The show is scheduled to be performed on Discovery Island.

This summer marks the return of Festival of the Lion King in the all-new Harambe Theater. The Lion King: Concert in the Wild also debuts this summer as part of the park's Harambe Nights hard-ticket event.

Meanwhile, the construction for the park's Avatar-themed land continues to progress, with the Rivers of Light nighttime spectacular debuting on Discovery Island at a not-yet-disclosed date.

'Winged Encounters' is the second bird-themed show at the Animal Kingdom. The other show is Wonders of Flight.
