Construction walls are up all across the Epcot Theme Park but Walt Disney Imagineering is inviting the casual and curious to witness the progress of Epcot's biggest transformation. Walt Disney Imagineering presents the Epcot Experience is an outstanding preview center that takes guests on a new level of exploration as immersive storytelling combines with brand-new attractions and astonishing interactive experiences to make the Park a one of a kind destination. Located at the Odyssey Events Pavilion stop by and "discover a series of engaging exhibits that showcase the relentless innovation, energy and excitement driving the park's unprecedented evolution."
At the heart of this unique preview center is the black canvas of a 3D model, and a 360 degree theater that guests step in to. Once inside state of the art projection mapping and high quality images bring the space to life in exciting and unexpected way. The effects are incredibly cool, though it is worth saying that guests who suffer from motion sickness or are sensitive to light and noise may become overwhelmed. One of the most stunning new features coming to Epcot will be a brand new multi-level festival center. The unique and slightly organic looking structure will feature three levels including: a plaza level on the first floor, an expo level on the second floor, and a park level on the top floor. Rumor has it that the third floor will be the new "it place" to view Epcot's nightly spectaculars. The Epcot Experience offers a number of models and displays featuring the new hot spot.
Take a walk through the new attraction "Journey of Water." This magical and tactile walk will feature exploration trails flanked by deep verdant spaces. On these lush trails guests will come into contact with "living" water in the form of inspiring waterfalls, fountains, babbling streams and flying jets of aqua pura.
Replacing the old Universe of Energy attraction, thrill seeking guests will delight in the "Guardians of the Galaxy"-inspired coaster. When it makes its debut it will be will be one of the world's longest enclosed roller coasters, and feature a unique story currently as well as an innovative ride system that's guaranteed to "wow" guests. The attraction will open in time for the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort in 2021, and while at the Epcot Experience guests can get a peek at the ride vehicles for his galactic coaster.
Space 220 is a unique new restaurant set to open in February 2020 that will feature an eclectic international cuisine and extensive wine collection. With expansive floor to ceiling display screens guest dining at Space 220 will feel like they have voyaged to Centauri Space Station orbiting high above our planet.
In world showcase old pavilions get new life with expansions that include rides inspired by popular Disney films. First up is the France Pavilion and its expansion set to open in summer 2020. The France pavilion expansion will include the new ride Remy's Ratatouille Adventure, as well as the debut of a delicious new restaurant, La Creperie de Paris, offering both table- and quick-service options featuring a menu from celebrity chef Jerome Bocuse.
The UK Pavilion will also be welcoming an exciting expansion as the east wind blows in a Mary Poppins ride on Cherry Tree Lane. Guest will step in time down the famous residential street, past Admiral Boom's house, and right on into Number 17, home of the Banks family, where your adventure will begin.
Several World Showcase Pavilions slated to get new movies are represented on the projection model including France, Canada, and China.
It is Disney, so of course there are snacks on hand at a small quick service counter selling snacks and beverages. Guests looking for a nibble can pick up popcorn, mickey pretzels, and novelty ice cream bars. Those wishing to quench their thirst can find pina coladas along side assorted beer and cider.
Of course... don't forget the merchandise opportunity! Epcot logo gear can be found in a small merchandise shop located within the Epcot Experience as well.

We were there last month but I did not see the preview, honestly I forgot about it. I'm looking forward to the changes coming to EPCOT, this park has been long over due of some "love". I'm hopeful that there will be a return to a more educational approach in EPCOT. Oddly enough going there 30+ years ago is one of the things that inspired me to go into science.
