RunDisney Marathon Updates

For all of you Disney marathon enthusiasts, here is an update of what's going on in the world of RunDisney.

First off, Disney sold out of its last remaining individual spots for the upcoming 2011 Disney Wine and Dine Half Marathon. There are reports that the October 1 event does still have a few slots open for tour operators and charitable organizations.

Spots are also open for two other marathon events: the Disney Halloween 5K and this year's first ever Half Marathon Relay. Check out the official Disney webpage for more details and info.

In addition, a new RunDisney marathon has recently been announced. The 2012 Disney Princess Half Marathon is now set to take place at WDW February 26, 2012 with events planned for the whole weekend leading up to Sunday's marathon. The weekend is planned for "women of all ages" with inspiration coming from the Disney Princess characteristics of " commitment, courage, determination, fantasy, perseverance, and strength."
