Seashore Sweets at Disney's Boardwalk Resort

Sitting prettily on the shoreline at Disney's Boardwalk Resort is a charming old-fashioned candy and ice cream shop. Seashore Sweets has counters and displays full of saltwater taffy, fudge and cookies that make it easy to find something to love. The real winner here though is the delicious hand dipped ice cream.

The storyline of this confectionary takes us back to the days where the summer was ruled by Beauty Queens and every little girl dreamed of becoming Miss America. Pageant chic decor highlights pageant contestants and their finery as experienced by the fictional "Sweet Sisters" and their "Confections Served with Affection." A tribute to the Miss America Pageant and all it's beauty, Seashore Sweets can raise your blood sugar by just walking inside. However, if you're a pageant fan, you don't want to miss this shop's vintage display.

The decor is friendly and classy with deep red walls and a purely American feel to it. I could spend hours browsing the pictures of vintage beauties on the seashore , but somehow I always get distracted by little things like glimmering trays of Mickey Krispy Rice Treats dipped in chocolate.

Nostalgic treats tempt old and young alike with bright rainbows of colorful candies. A rainbow wall of colorful jelly beans, Goofy's sour powders, cotton candy, paper strips of sugar buttons and giant lollipops beckon even the strongest of weight watcher to abandon their diet and reach for one of everything. Seashore Sweets is open from 1:00pm- 11:00pm and you can use your Disney Dining Plan snack credits to indulge in these sugary delights. Within it's walls you can treat yourself to a hand dipped ice cream sundae or simply grab a cup of coffee to help keep you going while you tour.
