Sending Letters Home From Walt Disney World

You'll find Post Cards available in stores and gift shops all across the Walt Disney World property. It may surprise some of our younger readers, but these beautiful photos and fun character creations aren't just for scrap booking - you can actually send a letter home! Everyone loves to find a surprise in their mailbox that's not a bill, and a note sent back home is a fun piece of Disney magic to share. Don't worry though if you haven't really come prepared, because postage stamps are readily available too. So grab a few Post Cards off the carousel and send them home to let them know that you're thinking about them.

I've done this! I've mailed stuff to friends and family using the mailboxes inside Magic Kingdom.

I used to love when you'd get the specialized Disney stamp on it, not a plain US postal stamp.

But, I love sending postcards to children who will be coming soon and saying something like can't wait to see you soon and sign off as their favourite character! How fun it is to do something nice for others and something so magical!

In some of the deluxe Disney resorts they have special mail boxes near the front desk. At the Beach Club resort I went to the front desk to ask them to mail a letter for me and they directed me to a gorgeous ornate mailbox by the kids' TV area. I love how Disney have thought of ways to incorporate useful things like this is a beautiful, fun way!

There is a mail slot at Pop Century for out going mail.

Travel tip = if you are planning on sending out a lot of post cards from the World, create labels with all the names and addresses of those you are sending the cards to before you leave. It will save time while you are there.

That's a great question martine. Yes, you can send post cards as long as they hav ethe proper postage on them. I'm afraid I don't know the answer for the coconuts though.
