Special Events & Fireworks Celebrate The Fourth of July at Walt Disney World

Fireworks are synonymous with the Walt Disney World Resort any time of the year, but when it comes to celebrating Independence Day, the sparkle is rightly over the top. On July 4th, 2018 Disney theme parks will offer guests a veritable plethora of patriotic parties to celebrate the auspicious day of Americana. Here's where you can find fireworks, and more at Walt Disney World!


Special Events For The Fourth Of July


Magic Kingdom

During the day Guests can gather outside The Hall of Presidents in Liberty Square as The Muppets Present...Great Moments in American History! Miss Piggy, Kermit, Fozzie Bear and friends reenact famous moments in American history with that famous Muppet humor.

Disney DJs will host rockin' dance parties in both Frontierland and Tomorrowland to keep the energy up. Then - watch the panoramic spectacular as the traditional Independence Day Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky takes place high above Magic Kingdom Park. These special events take place two-nights-only on July 3 and July 4, with the fireworks show beginning at 9:15 p.m.

If you plan on spending your holiday at the Magic Kingdom be sure to get to the Park early and plan on spending the entire day, because this is one of the days of the year that always hits capacity. Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky can also be seen from many places at Disney Resort Hotels around the Seven Seas Lagoon, and the Ticket and Transportation Center.

Epcot

Mickey and his friends will be wearing their finest Independence Day attire as they meet and greet guests throughout the day at The American Adventure.

The pride of the American Pavilion, a cappella group Voices of Liberty will perform three special concerts of traditional songs of Americana on the America Gardens Theatre stage at 5:30, 6:45 and 8 p.m. In the past these concerts have been incredibly popular, so if you want a seat be sure to line up early.

On the World Showcase Lagoon Epcot's evening "kiss goodnight" Illuminations: Reflections of Earth will be capped off with a special fireworks finale that paints the sky red, white and blue. The spectacular begins at 9 p.m. on July 4 only.

Disney Hollywood Studios

While this Disney Park isn't offering a special Fourth of July fireworks show, Fireworks are just one portion of this Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular. State-of-the-art projection effects, dynamic lighting and lasers, transport guests to a galaxy far, far away with iconic scenes from the Star Wars saga seen in an immersive display that will take your breath away. On July 4th, 2018 the galactic nighttime celebration begins at 10 p.m.

Disney's Animal Kingdom

Due to the sensitivity of the Animal Kingdom residents, no fireworks take place at this Park. However, if you're looking for something special to celebrate with, a Fourth of July cupcake featuring a tasty apple-pie filling will be available at both Creature Comforts and Isle of Java.

Two showings of Animal Kingdom's nighttime spectacular Rivers of Light will be presented on July 4th, first at 9:15 p.m. and then again at 10:15 p.m.
