It's an exciting day at Downtown Disney with the grand opening of the Splitsville Bowling Alley. This upscale, retro boutique bowl is the largest of the chain featuring 30 lanes and 50,000 square feet of family entertainment.
This unique venue offers two levels of billiards, bowling, live entertainment, and a balcony bar with sweeping views. The bowling alley is meant to encourage families to connect in person again without the interruptions of cell phones, pagers and social media.
The decor in Splitsville is a blend of hip and nostalgic elements with the bowling lanes separated into clusters that create unexpected lines of sight. For that premier service experience, lane concierges are available nightly to help guests get the most out of their bowling experience.
Upscale dining options offer just the right combination for foodies and families alike. This venue boast not one but two sushi bars, and menu items which include "grilled Mahi Mahi with "Voodoo" shrimp, filet sliders and grilled chicken parmesan, plus a kids menu, in addition to traditional bowling alley food items."
"We've created a collection of menu items that are perfect for sharing," said Guy Revelle, co-founder of Splitsville. "Whether it is sushi, sliders or pizza, customers can order combinations of food and then taste a little bit of everything. It creates a very interactive and social experience."
Prices at Splitsville will vary based on time of day, and they will include the cost of shoe rentals. Prior to 5 p.m., the rate is $15 per person for 1.5 hours of bowling. After 5 p.m., the rate is $20 per person for 1.5 hours of bowling.
Did you know that bowling is the largest participation sport in America? It seems only fitting that Disney has jumped into the game by locating this massive retro-cool complex at Walt Disney World. Will you be adding a stop here on your travel itinerary? Leave a comment and let us know!
