Three Sweet & Bubbly Drinks To Toast In The New Year at Walt Disney World

I'm a bubbly girl year round, but there's nothing quite like celebrating a new year that brings people to pop the cork on a bottle of sparkling wine. If you're celebrating New Year's Eve and Day at Walt Disney World, but you're not a fan of a straight brut champagne, here's where you can find a few of my favorite sweet bubbly beverages to help you toast in 2017!

The Classic Mimosa

My kids might tell you that mommy's favorite breakfast food is a Mimosa, they would be correct. Nothing says indulgence than starting your day Disney day by having champagne cocktails with the Princesses. Equal parts dry sparking wine and orange juice, you can order a mimosa at any of the Disney table service restaurants serving alcohol. I must say though that I've found what I consider to be the best mimosas in the kingdom at Akershus in Epcot's Norway.

You can find some specialty versions of this classic around the world too!

Kir Royale

A traditional French champagne cocktail is the Kir Royale, and Disney's version of the classic combines fruity blackberry liqueur and sparkling wine. I had my first sip of a Kir Royal while enjoying the Grand Floridian Society Orchestra from Mizners Lounge. UPDATE 9/12/19 - Mizners closed in 2019 to make way for the new Enchanted Rose Lounge. Sipping champagne cocktails with friends while listening to live jazz felt like an incredibly grown-up. If that's not your style, you can also find this iconic drink at Les Vins des Chefs de France in Epcot.

Rosa Regale

I'm pretty sure that the explosion of Rosa Regale's popularity in the US is a direct result of the cult status it achieved amongst Disney fans. Alright - I may not have any actual proof of this, but one sip of the Brachetto d'Acqui from Italy's Piedmont region and you'll be enchanted for sure. A slightly sweet sparkling red - Rosa Regale brings lush aromas of strawberries and raspberries to life with bubbles sure to tickle your nose. Rosa Regale is often featured in the restaurants of Epcot's Italy Pavilion, but can also be found on table service restaurant wine lists across the Disney property: such as Mama Melrose's, Martha's Vineyard Lounge, and now at Cinderella's Royal Table.
