Top 5 Pool Bars At Walt Disney World

When I take a rest day from the Walt Disney World Parks, I love to enjoy a nice cocktail while soaking up the sun next to a sparkling blue pool. The feature pools maintain a family atmosphere (no swim-up bars and vegas hot parties) while making Grown-ups comfortable amidst lushly detailed landscapes, beautifully themed pools, and superior Disney service. These five fantastic poolside bars are tops when it comes to a relaxing day in the sun, be sure to follow the links for full articles about each bar.

Uzima Springs Pool Bar at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge

The Uzima Spring pool lies nestled in between the wings of the lodge where Disney Imagineers have created the perfect oasis. The rustic red dirt ground is adorned with impressions of pebbles, foliage, and the mischievous footprints of children, the thatched roof of the poolside bar offers shade. Uzima Spring Pool Bar serves up the standard Disney cocktail menu, as well as three African beers and a specialty drink of the day.

Trout Pass Pool Bar at Disney's Wilderness Lodge

The Trout Pass Pool Bar is located on the shore of Bay Lake at the Silver Creek Theme Pool. With a pretty seating area that runs down the side of the building along a man-made creek, it offers plenty of umbrella-shaded tables and chairs to gather your group. Bartenders here have the reputation of being some of the friendliest on property.

Muddy Rivers at Disney's Port Orleans Resort

Making its home on Old Man Island, Muddy Rivers is a shambled kind of southern bar that would be right at home on the bayou with a wide covered porch and slow southern charm. There's even a TV over the bar, so slide onto a stool and enjoy one of 15 beers while you catch a ball game.

Siestas Poolside Bar at Disney's Coronado Springs

At the foot of a Mayan-themed pyramid, Siestas sits at the side of the 272,000+ gallon feature pool with an open air scattering of tables and chairs shaded by colorful. One of the nicest things about Siesta's is the onsite grill that allows for some basic bar foods like hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken sandwiches, and nachos to be served without much wait.

Petals at Disney's Pop Century

Grab a drink, play ping-pong, listen to some music, have your hair wrapped or even take a swim. There is a young at heart feeling at Petals and the 1960's themed Hippy Dippy pool. A nostalgic poolside bar where you can quench your thirst with frozen, on-the-rocks, and non-alcoholic drink cocktails. The fun atmosphere at petals makes it stand out amongst Value Resort Pool Bars.

The Silver Creek pool at WL will be closed for refurbishment when I visit in Sept. Does that mean the Trout Pass bar will be closed too? :-(

We're staying at AKL in November. Friends are coming along (yay!) who enjoy taking a break from running around the parks and enjoy lounging poolside. I will have to mention Uzima Springs because I'm sure we could all appreciate a nice adult beverage on a slow afternoon.

Both of the pools at AKL have really top notch bars. The only reason that I didn't choose the one at Kidani Village for this story is that it's limited to DVC Guests. They are without a doubt my favorites - now if they would only add cabanas.

We'll be staying at Kidani Village, so perhaps that will be the more convenient pool bar for us. Good to know they're both nice.

As far as pool bars go, the Cabana Bar at the Swalphin is easily the best. They have creative cocktails as opposed to the generic list found at the rest, and they usually have a nice selection of craft beers that are seldom found at others. The food and atmosphere (especially at night) are also better than average. "Beech" at the Bonnet Creek Hilton should not be left off the list as well.
