Top Five Chocolate Treats at Walt Disney World

Finding something amazing to eat at Walt Disney World is pretty easy. From the theme parks to the hotels to the ever-expanding list of eateries at Disney Springs, you'd be hard pressed to go hungry at Disney World. And while a full meal is always a good plan sometimes you just want a snack, and in our case that often involves something chocolate.

So today, we're going to talk about the top five chocolate treats at Walt Disney World. These are the top five chocolate snacks we like to eat, but you might have different chocolate snacks on your must-eat list. If you do, we'd love to hear about them in the comments! Now, let's talk chocolate!

5. Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bar: This is the quintessential and iconic Disney treat and one that you just have to eat at least once when you're at Disney World. The vanilla ice cream covered in a chocolate shell is the perfect summertime (or anytime) treat. The Mickey Ice Cream Bar is so beloved that it made the Disney Food Blog's #OnTheList series.

4. Master's Cupcake: You'll only find this chocolate treat at Be Our Guest in the Magic Kingdom, so make that Advance Dining Reservation now! This chocolate cupcake is topped with the "grey stuff" which is actually cookies and cream panna cotta. And it's delicious. It's really the only dessert we order when eating at Be Our Guest. If you love chocolate cupcakes this is one you definitely have to try!

3. Chocolate Macaron Ice Cream Sandwich: This chocolate ice cream treat is available at L'Artisans des Glaces in Epcot's France Pavilion and it's a must-have if you're a fan of chocolate. The macarons are made in the Les Halles kitchen then filled with chocolate ice cream made at L'Artisans. Sure, you can get other seasonal varieties of the macaron ice cream sandwiches but nothing compares to the original all-chocolate version. The macaron is crispy on the outside and perfectly chewy inside and the chocolate ice cream is cool and creamy. It's really a perfect treat.

2. Ice Cream Sandwich: Moving on to another ice cream sandwich and another theme park, the homemade ice cream sandwich at the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor is another favorite. While you can choose any flavor of ice cream to sandwich between two homemade chocolate chip cookies we always go with chocolate. And thanks to our friends at the Disney Food Blog, we always request a side of peanut butter sauce to drizzle over the chocolate ice cream and cookies. You just gotta try it!

1. Warm Peanut Butter Brownie:
OK, yes. The name of this snack doesn't even mention chocolate, but trust us on this. The Warm Peanut Butter Brownie from Sunshine Seasons in Epcot is a must-have chocolate treat. The chocolate brownie is swirled with peanut butter (are you sensing a theme with our chocolate and peanut butter obsession?) and then topped with caramel glaze. Chocolate. Peanut Butter. Caramel. It's a trifecta of deliciousness! Just be aware that this brownie might be a seasonal treat. But if it's on the menu when you're at Sunshine Season, you must order it. You won't regret it.

I am *really* looking forward to trying some of the newer chocolate treats when I go on my trip in September. I plan on hitting The Ganachery, and Sprinkles Cupcakes, and I can't wait to taste the new chocolate dessert at Tiffins!
