Walt Disney World Resort Cast Members Reunite Guest with Lost Teddy Bear

If you're looking for a heartwarming story with a side of Disney Parks magic, this is it.

The Disney Parks Blog recently told the story of a girl named Brooklyn Andrews and her lost teddy bear.

Brooklyn is the owner of a teddy bear given to her by her dad when she was 3 years old. Her dad was a member of the United States National Guard and had purchased the bears as gifts for his kids before he deployed to Iraq. The bears even featured a recorded "I love you" message from Tony.

After her dad returned from duty the family took several trips to Walt Disney World, always with Toby the teddy bear in tow. Brooklyn's dad passed away in 2006 and Toby the bear was her constant source of comfort.

Earlier this year the Andrews family and Toby the teddy bear visited Walt Disney World and 14-year-old Brooklyn was running in the Disney Family Fun Run 5K. When the family returned home they realized that Toby was lost.

Brooklyn's mom contacted the staff at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, but was told that Toby had not been turned in to Lost & Found. The story of the lost teddy bear spread via social media and the general manager of Saratoga Springs heard about the plight of the lost bear.

It was discovered that a housekeeper had found Toby and turned him in to a satellite office.

After Toby was found safe and sound, the resort's cast decided he needed a tour of the Walt Disney World Resort, complete with photos of him riding Dumbo, meeting Winnie the Pooh and Tigger, and visiting the Country Bear Jamboree. Toby was sent home to the Andrews family with a photo album of his many adventures.

Bravo!

I hear and understand people's frustrations with the constantly increasing prices for all things Disney. But honestly, I have personally witnessed so many kind acts performed by Disney Cast Members and have been on the receiving end of great customer service efforts that I can't get myself too worked up about the money.

They are amazing. My daughter had her stuffed giraffe taken by housekeeping. I spoke with a manager after returning home to see if they found it yet. The manager called animal kingdom and told me they were sending her a new one (she is 4 so she wasn't going to notice it wasn't the one she got down there!). Well not only did they send "her" giraffe, but they sent a little animal kingdom booklet filled with "adventures" her giraffe went on! I was so thrilled with her reaction to seeing "her" giraffe come home that I didn't even notice the book for a few minutes. She was SO excited! They had pictures of this stuffed giraffe getting his face painted (pretending to anyway), getting popcorn, going on Everest, dancing in Africa, etc. the last picture is a photo of Mickey and Minnie posing with her giraffe. I had years in my eyes showing her the pics and reading the stories they wrote in each page. Disney is truly like no other place.
