While soaking up the wintery atmosphere of pine boughs and twinkling lights during your Walt Disney World Vacation, you might want to consider a trip to the Territory Lounge for a Hot Toddy.
Open from 4:30pm - midnight daily, the Territory Lounge is nestled between Artist Point and the Whispering Canyon Cafe near the lobby of the holiday fan favorite, Disney's Wilderness Lodge Resort.
The lighting in the lounge is dim and it's elegantly decorated in natural leathers, rich woods and cozy couches. The Territory Lounge will transport you to the mountains of the Northwest, where tree trunks carved into grizzly bears hold up the bar. American artwork adorns the wall, taking you on a journey through the frontier of the late 19th century. An elaborate rendition of Lewis and Clark's trail map is painted overhead. Even if you're staring at the ceiling, you'll have something great to look at!
Oenophiles will delight in the fact that Territory Lounge offers access to Artist Point's award wining wine list, which features outstanding selections from Washington and Oregon State. Specialty beers include Samuel Adams' White Ale, Moosehead, and Red Hook. Cocktails include a Pomegranate Splash, Pear Blossom Cosmo, Tommy Bahama Mama.
I've heard wonderful things about the selection of nibbles available at the Territory as well. Though the menu can be considered "pub grub," it has gotten high marks from foodie tourists who have been delighted by the Pulled Pork Flatbread and the Honey Ginger Chicken Wings. The Disney Food Blog gave it an honorable mention in their "Top 10 Disney World Bars and Lounges" for it's "fun appetizers."
Seldom crowded, the Territory Lounge is a great adult get away for a relaxing nightcap after a busy day at the parks. Thanks goes again to the folks at WildernessLodgeSite.com for exclusive permission to use their pictures.
Does the Territory Lounge sound like the place for you? Since reading up on it to write this article I got a craving for some frontier hospitality and a great glass of Pinot. What's your favorite bite to eat at this great lounge? Leave me a comment to let me know!

We had a lovely evening with our (adult) children at the Territory Lounge last spring; we spent a couple of hours over drinks and appetizers: honey ginger wings, nachos, and (my favorite) BLT flatbread. They were also kind enough to allow my son and husband to watch the college basketball tournament in the lounge before opening hours one rainy afternoon.

As a extreme user (BURP!) of WDW bars and lounges, I absolutely love the Territory Lounge.
It has a special feel to it!
The dark atmosphere, artwork, and furnishings perfectly fit the Wilderness Lodge theme.
When comparing all the multitude of spots to get a drink within WDW, only the Animal Kingdom Lodge's Victoria Falls Lounge rates higher with me.

This place sounds wonderful! My son and daughter-in-law-to-be are staying at Wilderness Lodge for their Honeymoon in December and will have to check it out!

Silly question...where is Territory Lounge? I couldn't find it last time I was at WL.
