The Walt Disney World Resort felt the force of Hurricane Irma Sunday night after the hurricane took a turn and headed north to Orlando. The theme parks were closed Sunday and Monday due to the storm, but the Resort hotels were full of guests riding out the wind and rain.

Most DVC members know how hard it is to get a Deluxe Studio room reservation during October, but we didn't let that stop us even for a last minute reservation. Effective May 1, 2019 Disney Bans Smoking In Theme Parks

Effective May 1, 2019 Disney Parks will be entirely smoke free zones. Smoking areas will no longer be present inside Walt Disney World theme parks, water parks, or at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. Designated smoking areas will be available located outside the entrances to the entertainment areas listed, as well as at Disney Springs.
