Downtown Disney Ready to Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with Music, Dancing, and Food

It's time for the annual wearin' of the green as Downtown Disney prepares to celebrate St. Patrick's Day next month.

The St. Patrick's Day celebration pays homage to Celtic culture through dance, music, and food at Raglan Road Irish Pub & Restaurant and throughout Downtown Disney.

Three stages will feature 10 top Irish bands and professional Irish dancers performing during select days of the festival. From March 7-14 performances are scheduled from 5 p.m. until 1 a.m. daily, and then from noon until 1 a.m. from March 15-17.

The Atlanta Braves Report for Spring Training at Disney’s ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex

Despite the never-ending winter in the northern half of the country, baseball season is right around the corner, and the Atlanta Braves have reported for spring training in Orlando.

For the 17th year, the Braves spring training is taking place at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at the Walt Disney World Resort. Pitchers reported on February 14 and the rest of the team reported February 18.

Animal Kingdom’s ‘Mickey’s Jammin’ Jungle Parade’ to end in June

For the second time this year, a Walt Disney World park is ending a parade.

The Animal Kingdom's afternoon parade, Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade, is set to end in June according to sources at Disney.

Earlier this year the Celebrate a Dream Come True Parade ended at the Magic Kingdom and will be replaced with the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade next month.

Festival of Fantasy Parade Debuts March 9 at the Magic Kingdom with Elaborate Costumes and Floats

When the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade debuts at the Magic Kingdom on March 9, guests will have a chance to see some of the most elaborate parade costumes ever created by Disney.

The parade is a celebration of Fantasyland, and is the first in a new generation of Disney parades and includes new technology, a new musical score, and floats that are three stories tall.

Disney Cruise Line Announces ‘Halloween on the High Seas’ for fall 2014

Halloween might be months away, but Disney Cruise Line has just announced Halloween on the High Seas will be taking place on most voyages this fall from late September through October.

The Halloween celebration will feature themed-parties, entertainment, and spooky decor including The Pumpkin Tree which magically transforms throughout the cruise.

New Merchandise is Blooming for the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival

The Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival returns to Walt Disney World on March 5 and guests will have a chance to "pick" some great merchandise.

The topiary artwork from 2013 returns to the festival this year with designs created by Disney's Yellow Shoes Marketing group, including a Minnie Mouse wind chime, a Donald Duck garden stake, and a Mickey Mouse garden figurine.

Walt Disney World Resort Announces February Merchandise Events

If you're visiting the Walt Disney World Resort this month there are several special merchandise events planned.

The Pop of Minnie makeup collection from Beautifully Disney officially launches February 8 at Tren-D in the Downtown Disney Marketplace. "Minnie" makeovers are available for guests from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Groovy Lineup Announced for Flower Power Concert Series at Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival

The Flower Power Concert Series during the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival is once again going to get guests grooving to the sweet sounds of the '60s and '70s.

March 7 is the first date for the Flower Power Concert Series and this year's lineup inculdes two new acts: Gary Lewis and The Playboys (This Diamond Ring) and Alan Parson Live Project (Eye in the Sky).

The Flower Power Concert Series is performed at America Gardens Theater at 5:30, 6:45, and 8 p.m. every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday of the Flower & Garden Festival.

Destination D: Attraction Rewind is Just One of D23’s Special Events for 2014

D23: The Official Disney Fan Club has announced its slate of special events for 2014 and perhaps one of the biggest events for this year is Destination D: Attraction Rewind Presented by H2O Plus.

This event is scheduled for July 26-27 at the Walt Disney World Resort and will bring together Disney archivists, Imagineers, and Legends to celebrate favorite Disney attractions of yesteryear.

Fans will have a chance to see concept art and images from the attractions, vintage video, and more.

Steampunk-Inspired Maleficent Float to Join the Magic Kingdom’s ‘Festival of Fantasy Parade’

There are still a couple of months until the 'Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade' debuts at the Magic Kingdom, and Disney recently announced a new float for the parade.

The float will represent Sleeping Beauty's Maleficent as a 35-foot-long, 26-foot high Steampunk-inspired dragon.

The Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade is celebration of Fantasyland and each float will be created so that it appears as though the characters featured on the floats had a hand in creating them.
