Disney’s Contemporary Resort Hosting Christmas Day Religious Services

If you have plans to spend Christmas Day at the Walt Disney World Resort and you're looking to celebrate with a religious service there are two options at Disney's Contemporary Resort. Guests can attend a Catholic Mass or a Protestant service on Christmas Day.

The Walt Disney World Resort Announces Grant to Help Homeless Families in Central Florida

Christmas came early to a Central Florida fund set up to aid the homeless. The Walt Disney World Resort recently announced a $500,000 grant for the Homeless Impact Fund which was established by the Central Florida Commission on Homelessness.

Whoopi Goldberg Narrates Epcot's Candlelight Processional [Video]

We've shared many videos with you this year of Disney's winter celebrations, but Epcot's Candlelight Processional is a can't miss tradition of the Holiday Season for many a Disney fan. First performed in Disneyland in 1958 the Processional first made its way to the Walt Disney World Resort in 1971. It found its current home at the American Gardens Theatre in Epcot in 1994.

Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade - VIDEO

The holidays are such a beautiful time of year down at the Walt Disney World Resort. I especially love the feeling at night when the Magic Kingdom is decked out in garlands and lights. There's nothing quite like enjoying your favorite hot beverage on a cool night while watching your favorite Disney characters joined by dancing gingerbread men and elves traveling right down the middle of Main Street U.S.A.

The 2014 Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights [Video]

It started back in 1986 when a little girl named Breezy asked her Dad if they could string a few Christmas lights at their Little Rock, Arkansas home. That display grew and grew each year until 1995, when the display was shut down by court order. After national attention was brought to the case, the Walt Disney Company stepped in and offered up residential street on the Studios Backlot Tour where it was an instant hit. Eventually, as the focus of the Backlot Tour changed the holiday lights were moved to the Streets of America.
