Disney Cruise Line Alters Policy for Guests Bringing Alcohol On Ships

If you have plans to sail on a Disney Cruise Line ship after September 30 there's a new alcohol policy that limits how much guests can bring on the ships. Under the new policy guests are allowed a maximum or two bottles of unopened wine or champagne or six beers.

Registration for the 2016 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend events has been open for just about two days and several races are already sold out. But if you're looking to add a little tropical fun to the Marathon Weekend, you can register for the Disney Castaway Cay Challenge 5K run.

Save Money for Your Disney Vacation with the Disney Vacation Account

UPDATE: ON July 25th, 2017 Disney sent out a letter to it's vacation account holders stating "Thank you for your participation in the Disney Vacation Account program. At this time, we are discontinuing the program and no new accounts or contributions are being accepted."

Disney Cruise Line Announces Ports and Itineraries for 2015

Disney Cruise Line has announced that in the early months of 2015, all four Disney ships will be sailing from Florida ports to destinations in the Bahamas and Caribbean.

The sailings include 3-, 4-, and 7-night cruises from Port Canaveral, and 4- and 5-night cruises from Miami. Each cruise from January to April 2015 will include a stop at Disney's private island Castaway Cay.

Disney Cruise Line Changes Onboard Booking Policy for Cruisers

Disney Cruise Line has announced a change to the onboard booking policy for guests.

Effective November 12, guests who book a future cruise while onboard a Disney Cruise Line ship must complete their travel within 18 months in order to maintain the benefits they receive for booking while onboard the ship. These benefits include: 10 percent off rates quoted on disneycruise.com, up to $200 in onboard credits per stateroom, and a reduced deposit on sailings of 7 nights or longer.

Jungle Cruise Getting Holiday Makeover as the Jingle Cruise

For the first time ever, The Jungle Cruise is getting a holiday transformation into the Jingle Cruise just in time for the holidays.

Disney says the transformation is happening because the Jungle Cruise skippers are homesick for the holidays and they decided it was time to add holiday cheer to the queue and boathouse using decorations mailed from home. The Skippers are also getting crafty and have created some homemade decorations.

Disney Cruise Line Named Top Large-Ship Line in Reader’s Choice Poll

Disney Cruise Line was recently ranked as the top large-ship cruise line by readers of a national travel magazine.

Conde Nast Traveler's 26th Annual Readers' Choice Awards gave DCL an overall rating of 90.3, putting the cruise line ahead of Celebrity Cruises, Royal Caribbean International, and Princess Cruises.

Our family recently took a short three-day cruise on the Disney Wonder. This newly refurbished ship may be small but it packs a big punch! With the new show, Frozen A Musical Spectacular and new restaurants and lounges we were ready for a brand-new experience. Disney has rotational dining on their ships which means you go from restaurant to restaurant each night of your cruise with your serving staff following along with you. Even on a 3 day, we felt like the servers had known us for ages. The service is impeccable!

Disney Cruise Line first set sail on July 30, 1998 with the Disney Magic. Or did it? In 1983, Premier Cruise Line was founded with the singular goal of offering 3-4 night sailings out of Port Canaveral to the Bahamas. The Port was underutilized and its proximity to Orlando area attractions made it an ideal location for Premier to boost its business by partnering with Disney to offer land & sea vacation packages.
