Limited Time Fun Coming To Walt Disney World In 2019

Disney just announced a whole slew of limited time offerings for 2019 that will keep guests in the party mood from January to September! We'll have more information coming for you about the exciting new events as Disney expands the details, but here's a peek at how Walt Disney World will be celebrating all year long in 2019.

2018 Epcot Festival of the Arts Runs January 12 through February 19

The 2018 Epcot Festival of the Arts is slated to run for 39 days from January 12 through February 19, 2018. The schedule for next year's Festival is a change from the inaugural event which only ran Fridays through Mondays. Next year just the Disney on Broadway performances are happening Friday through Monday each week.

Marquee for Disney’s 'Aladdin' Arrives on Broadway

Next month marks the beginning of previews for the Broadway musical version of Disney's Aladdin.

The show's marquee on the New Amsterdam Theater was recently updated and it features the Genie in a bottle. Check out the video below from Disney On Broadway showing the transformation.

The musical is based on Disney's Academy Award-winning animated film. The stage version is being directed and choreographed by Casey Nicholaw and features music by Alan Menken, and lyrics by Tim Rice, Chad Beguelin, and the late Howard Ashman.

Disney Theatrical Productions Announces Plans to Bring ‘The Princess Bride’ to the Stage

It seems that a stage production of The Princess Bride is not so inconceivable after all.

Disney Theatrical Productions has announced plans to develop a stage production based on the 1973 novel by William Goldman, which was later turned into the 1987 cult-favorite film of the same name.

The film starred Robin Wright, Cary Elwes, Chris Sarandon, Mandy Patinkin, Christopher Guest, Wallace Shawn, Andre the Giant, Billy Crystal, and Carol Kane.
