Marketplaces at This Year’s Epcot International Food and Wine Festival Are Bigger and Better

When visiting the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival this year, you might notice something different about the locations when you're buying those tasty treats.

Gone are the generic booths from years past. The new locations - called marketplaces, not kiosks - are mini kitchen outlets where chefs can create culinary magic every day. David Buckley, the art director for the festival, is behind much of the redesign.

Disney Scented Air Fresheners Coming in August

Ever wished you could bring the scent of a Disney park home with you? Soon, you'll be able to! Disney is planning to release four new air fresheners in August that capture the smells of some of the best-loved treats at the parks.

Guests will be able to take home air fresheners based on the following Disney food items: a turkey leg, a Mickey-shaped premium ice cream bar, a candy apple and a Mickey waffle.

The air fresheners, which have been over a year in the making, will retail for 5.95 each. Look for them this August inside Disney parks.

Downtown Disney Restaurants Offer Cooking Demos During Food & Wine Fest

Epcot's International Food and Wine Festival is gearing up to start later this month, and a few Downtown Disney restaurants are planning cooking demonstrations to coincide with the popular event.

First off, Fulton's Crab House will be giving a tutorial on pan-searing wild Alaska king salmon at 1 p.m. October 1. The restaurant also will be offering a signature dinner November 2 at 7 p.m. that will cost $150 per guest.

Artist Point Now Has Copper River King Salmon

Artist Point at Disney's Wilderness Lodge recently welcomed back a guest-favorite fish to its nightly menu: the Copper River King Salmon. How popular is this Alaskan fish, you may ask? Turns out, patrons of Artist Point sign up for an email notification alerting them to the fact that the fish's season has arrived.

Babycakes NYC Vegan Bakery Opens in Downtown Disney

In a trifecta of deliciousness, three new food locations opened in Downtown Disney this month, replacing the spot vacated by McDonald's after the restaurant's contract expired with Disney last year.

Pollo Campero and Fresh Apeel offer your entrees, while Babycakes NYC -- a starlet New York City bakery that recently expanded to LA and now to Orlando -- offers the primary dessert options.

What makes this place different from any other you'll find in Disney World, however, is what you won't find in its cupcakes, breads, and cookies. The Vegan bakery is also egg-free, gluten-free, casein-free, and refined sugar-free -- perfect for guests with specialty diets!
