The Great Irish Hooley Returns to Raglan Road Irish Pub & Restaurant on Labor Day Weekend

The Fourth Annual Great Irish Hooley is planned for Labor Day Weekend at Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant in Downtown Disney (soon to be Disney Springs). This halfway to St. Patrick's Day celebration starts Friday, September 4 and runs through Monday, September 7.

Uniqlo Set to Expand Disney Collection and Open a Store at Downtown Disney in 2016

Japanese retailer Uniqlo is expanding its relationship with Disney as it gets ready to debut a new apparel collection featuring Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars characters at this week's D23 Expo in Anaheim.

New Police Substation to be Built at Walt Disney World Resort

The Walt Disney World Resort is building a $2.5 million substation for the Orange County Sheriff's Office. The new substation is scheduled to open in October. Currently the 36 deputies, 20 administrators and clerks, and seven detectives that serve Disney are housed in a fire station operated by Reedy Creek.

The NBA Experience Project Planned for Disney Springs

The Walt Disney Company has struck a deal with the NBA that reaches past the ABC and ESPN broadcast coverage straight into the Walt Disney World Resort. Wednesday the two announced in a press release that Disney Springs would be home to a new entertainment venture called "The NBA Experience."

New Retailers and Restaurants Announced for Disney Springs

A slate of high profile, nationally recognized retailers is coming to Disney Springs including Lilly Pulitzer, PANDORA, and Tommy Bahama. A total of 13 new tenants was recently announced by Walt Disney World Resort, including eight retail stores and five new restaurants.

Next Phase in Disney Springs Transformation is the Town Center Area

As Downtown Disney continues to be transformed into Disney Springs, the next phase of the project is the Town Center. This new district is currently under construction in an area that was used for guest parking and will be home to many nationally-recognized retail shops, including large-scale retail stores.

The Boathouse,New Signature Dining Location, Now Open at Downtown Disney

The newest signature dining location at the Walt Disney World Resort is now open. The Boathouse: Great Food, Waterfront Dining, Dream Boats , located at The Landing in Downtown Disney, was built over the water and features seating for 600 guests. The restaurant is also home to rare boats and an all-new guest experience, Amphicars.

YeHaa Bob Jackson to Perform at the Boathouse in Downtown Disney

When the Boathouse opens later this month in Downtown Disney, fans of Port Orleans Riverside's popular entertainer YeHaa Bob Jackson will be able to catch Bob in his new gig playing instrumental jazz standards with a sax player on the water taxi.
