Narrators Announced for 2015 Candlelight Processional at Epcot

The narrator list for the 2015 Candlelight Processional at Epcot has been announced. This year's list includes Whoopi Goldberg, Neil Patrick Harris, Edward James Olmos, and Amy Grant. The nightly performances begin Friday, November 27.

Runners take your mark! Registration for the 2016 Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend presented by Children's Miracle Network Hospitals opens Tuesday, July 14 at noon ET at runDisney.com. The Princess Half Marathon Weekend is February 18-21 at the Walt Disney World Resort.

Walt Disney World Resort Bans Selfie Sticks from Theme Parks

It's finally official. The Walt Disney World Resort is banning selfie sticks from its theme parks effective June 30. Previously the selfie sticks had only been banned on certain theme park attractions but it seemed only a matter of time before they were banned completely.

Walt Disney World Resort Releases Information on 2016 Magic Your Way Vacation Packages

Disney recently announced the details of the 2016 Magic Your Way vacation packages for the Walt Disney World Resort. There are some changes to benefits in the Magic Your Way packages including the addition of some activities and the removal of others.

Walt Disney World Resort Celebrating the Fourth of July with Special Fireworks and More

If you are making plans to celebrate the Fourth of July at the Walt Disney World Resort there are several special celebrations planned for July 3 and 4 at three of the four theme parks. The celebrations include special fireworks displays, festive merchandise, and Disney characters in special costumes.

New Police Substation to be Built at Walt Disney World Resort

The Walt Disney World Resort is building a $2.5 million substation for the Orange County Sheriff's Office. The new substation is scheduled to open in October. Currently the 36 deputies, 20 administrators and clerks, and seven detectives that serve Disney are housed in a fire station operated by Reedy Creek.

Disney Vacation Club Members Can Try Two New Experiences this Summer at Walt Disney World Resort

Disney Vacation Club members and their guests have the chance to try out two new and unique experiences at the Walt Disney World Resort this summer before the experiences are opened to the general public. Guests can choose from a "culinary adventure" experience or guided tour through the wilderness.

Walt Disney World Speedway to be Demolished for Magic Kingdom Parking Lot Expansion

Earlier this year the Walt Disney World Resort announced plans to close the Walt Disney World Speedway, known affectionately as the Mickyard. The Speedway is home to the Richard Petty Driving Experience and was the home of the Exotic Driving Experience, which closed this spring after a fatal accident.

Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular At Disney's Hollywood Studios

One of the things that I was most looking forward to on my trip to Walt Disney World last week was the chance to see the new at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Now, I'm not really a huge Star Wars fan, but I do love fireworks, and goes to a galaxy far beyond that, the show did not disappoint.

Great Places To Take A Break While Touring Food & Wine Festival

The joys of Epcot on a Festival day are plenty, but the truth of Florida in September and early October means that folks can start to feel a little more spent than expected. With rich foods, lots of booze, high heat, humidity, long lines, and little shade - it's not uncommon to hear of guests that feel ill in the middle of the day. It's OK though, with a little pre-planning you can tour the festival like a pro.

Guest Review of Beaches and Cream

By seating capacity, it may very well be the smallest table service restaurant in Walt Disney World, and the menu isn't the most exciting fare for dinner. None the less - it can be tough to score a reservation, Beaches & Cream Soda Shop is a great spot to grab an economical Disney meal and a great dessert! Even if you can't score that elusive dinner reservation, it's fun to stop by for a specialty sundae to go.
