Walt Disney World Resort Tops List of Most-Visited Theme Parks

If you've visited the Walt Disney World Resort in the past year you might have noticed that the crowds seemed a bit larger and maybe the stand-by queues were a bit longer. That wasn't your imagination. In 2014 the Magic Kingdom alone welcomed more than 19 million visitors, up 4 percent from 2013.

Solar Farm to be Built Near Epcot Will Provide Energy to Walt Disney World Resort

The Walt Disney World Resort area is going to be home to a new solar farm built by Duke Energy. The solar farm will provide solar power to the resort and will be located on about 20 acres of land near World Drive and Epcot Center Drive.

Eat to the Beat Concert Lineup Announced for Epcot Food & Wine Festival

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival and the lineup for the festival's Eat to the Beat Concert series has been announced. Walt Disney World Resort Announces April Merchandise Events

Spring has sprung at the Walt Disney World Resort and to celebrate there's a brand new slate of special merchandise events planned for April. The events include artist meet-and-greets, new Disney pins, a Trading Night, and special Earth Day events at Disney's Animal Kingdom.

Epcot was one of Walt Disney's original visions. Originally standing for the Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow, it was actually intended to be much more of the basis for Walt Disney World than the Magic Kingdom. Eventually however his initial vision proved too grand to be carried out and it became the less expansive park that you see today.
