Disney Films Receive Nine Oscar Nominations

The nominations for the 87th Annual Academy Awards were announced earlier this month and Disney films earned nine nominations in seven different categories. The nominated films include the animated hit Big Hero 6, the summer blockbuster Guardians of the Galaxy, and Marvel's Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

The Walt Disney Company Reports Fourth Quarter and Year-End Earnings for Fiscal 2014

The Walt Disney Company has released its fiscal year 2014 fourth quarter and year-end earnings and the report showed an 8 percent increase in revenue to a record $48.8 billion and a 22 percent increase in income to a record $47.5 billion.

Walt Disney Studios Announces Slate of 2014 Movie Release Dates

Last year was a successful year at the box office for The Walt Disney Studios, and now it's time to get ready for a whole new slate of movies.

The first movie from the Mouse House arrives February 28 when The Wind Rises is released by Touchstone Pictures.

The movies features the voice talents of Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Emily Blunt, Martin Short, John Krasinski, Jennifer Grey, Stanley Tucci, and was director Hayao Miyazaki's final film.

Inside The Epcot Preview Center At The Odyssey

Last week while in Epcot, Jen and I stopped in to the Odyssey Building to see what was inside. We were excited to see the display of the future of Epcot. The room contained a model display of Epcot in the center with a movie screen all around the room. The movie screen showed the new rides and experiences coming to Epcot. The colors of the display changed to match the movie.

Epcot Future World Reimagined For Tomorrow

Chairman of Disney Parks and Resort Bob Chapek, and with Imagineer Tom Fitzgerald shared a vision with fans this weekend at the D23 Expo. Guardians Of The Galaxy Opens August 1st

As we all know, coming to theaters on August 1st is the next big installment of the Marvel experience that many of us are way too excited for. We here at WDW for Grown-ups have followed this new series from its early beginnings and now after months of stills, sneak peeks and Marvel Universe history, we find ourselves only a couple weeks away from opening day. The Guardians of the Galaxy is Marvel's (and Disney's) first real move into the space epic/superhero genre.
