Walt Disney World Resort Plans Special Entertainment Options for New Year’s Eve

If you're planning on ringing in the New Year at the Walt Disney World Resort there are several celebratory options in the theme parks.

In Epcot, guests can party through the night with a DJ and light show at the Future World Fountain Stage. There will be a smoke-billowing dragon in the China pavilion and Euro-pop and lasers lighting up the Italy pavilion, and a Latin band and a DJ are set to entertain on the America Gardens Stage.

The Disney Parks Christmas Parade is scheduled to tape at the Magic Kingdom on December 6-9 this year. Taping for the Disneyland portion of the ABC Television program was recently taped in Anaheim.

Jingle Cruise and ‘The Little Mermaid’ T-shirts Available at Disney Parks Online Store this Month

Just in time for some holiday shopping, the Disney Parks online store is featuring two special T-shirts this month.

The first tee was inspired by the Jingle Cruise, which is in its second year at the Magic Kingdom. The holiday themed version of the Jungle Cruise was first introduced in Adventureland at Disneyland.

Updated ‘Move It! Shake It! Dance & Play It!’ Street Party Debuts at Magic Kingdom

The newly updated Move It! Shake It! Dance & Play It! Street Party debuted October 24 at the Magic Kingdom.

This new version of the park's "street party" features new characters and new music and is an update of the Move It! Shake It! Celebrate It! Street Party.

The street party parade features giant gift box floats and is hosted by Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, and Goofy.

Journey of the Little Mermaid Scheduled to Close in February for Refurbishment

New Fantasyland has been open for two years and one of the land's popular attractions is set to close for a refurbishment in February.

Under the Sea: Journey of the Little Mermaid will reportedly close on February 2 to undergo an extensive refurbishment. The ride is scheduled to reopen on March 6.

According to reports the refurbishments will be similar to those made to the Disneyland version of the attraction earlier this year.

Dapper Dans Help Celebrate Southwest Airline’s First Non-Stop Dallas to Orlando Flight from Love Field

The Dapper Dans, the famous barbershop quartet from the Magic Kingdom, helped make a recent flight from Dallas to Orlando a bit more magical.

To celebrate Southwest Airline's first non-stop flight from Dallas' Love Field to Orlando International Airport, the quartet provided in-flight entertainment.

On October 13 at Flight #887 was departing Love Field, Jungle Cruise Skipper "Jungle Jane" made the flight announcements and during the flight the passengers were served Mickey Mouse-shaped treats.
