Disney Being Sued By A Nun Over 'Sister Act'

It's a lawsuit over twenty years in the making. Delois Blakley recently sued Disney, claiming her 1987 autobiography, The Harlem Street Nun, was the basis for Disney's hit movie "Sister Act" and the theater production that followed.

The same year her book came out, Blakely reportedly wrote a synopsis of the story which she sent out to the movie industry, including a producer at Tri-Star Pictures. She claims that Tri-Star expressed interest in movie rights to the story, and that another producer took the project from Tri-Star to Disney. "Sister Act" was then made.

Her resume also includes a few past Disney pics - "Miracle" and "Race to Witch Mountain." She is also noted for her work on the Oscar-winner "Crash."

A Visit to the Walt Disney Family Museum Part 1

Walt Disney may have said that it all started with a mouse, but we can't forget that it also all started with him. Located in what was once a barracks on the main post of San Francisco's Presidio, the Walt Disney Family Museum is 40,000 square feet that honors Walt Disney's life and achievements. Last month, I had the chance to visit and spend a few hours learning about the man that brought so much happiness to this world.

Three Fun Disney Apps for your iPhone

More than ever the iTunes store is showcasing some of the many Disney themed applications that are being produced by creative Disney fans to both entertain you and to make your vacations go more smoothly. Last week we talked about the Fantastic Fireworks Photography Field Guide as a useful tool. This week I've got three Fun Apps to bring a little more Disney into your daily life.

The Fireworks Photography Field Guide

I love taking pictures while I'm in Walt Disney World, there are so many interesting sites to see, it's almost impossible to capture them in the ever-changing Disney Parks environment. I do fairly well at taking pictures by day, but when the night comes it's a whole different story. Before each vacation I try to read the camera's little manual so that I remember what settings I have available, but armed with my little point and shoot in the dark I frequently forget what I'm supposed to do.

5 Photos to Get at Magic Kingdom

Where ever you look in Magic Kingdom people are taking pictures. For some of us not-so-great photographer types that can be a little intimidating. I tend to feel a little inadequate snapping pictures on my iPhone when the person next to me is using a dslr (not that I dislike them I am just a little jealous that they have an amazing camera and I have a cell phone).

We have compiled what we think are the 5 photos that everyone should get at some point in their life at Magic Kingdom.

Disney Cards for the Holiday Season

Creating custom Holiday Cards is a fantastic way to share your love for Disney with the people who are important to you. Though most people assume that pictures on Christmas Cards have to be of your kids, I'm here to say that Disney themes offer fantastic alternatives and spread the magic during this wonderful time of year.
