New Disney Early Morning Magic Event Coming to the Magic Kingdom

Disney has recently announced another new hard ticket event for the Magic Kingdom. This one, Disney Early Morning Magic, takes place before the park opens and includes access to three attractions plus breakfast at Pinocchio Village Haus.

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Features Faux Grass and Trees

The lush landscape at the new Seven Dwarfs Mine Train in the Magic Kingdom is all an illusion.

What looks like real grass, trees, and shrubs is actually Disney magic hard at work. There are 350 fake shrubs, 55 synthetic trees, and fake grass at the Mine Train location. But there's also 20,000 real shrubs and 150 live oaks, cedars, and birches at the site.

The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train has an official opening date at the Magic Kingdom.

The final piece of the New Fantasyland expansion will open to guests on May 28.

The date was announced at a media event that featured a preview and official dedication of the new coaster.

Queue for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train to Feature Interactive Gem Sorting Station

Guests waiting in line for the new Seven Dwarfs Mine Train won't have a chance to be bored.

Disney has announced that the ride will feature an interactive queue to keep guests entertained while they wait.

The first interactive opportunity is a gemstone sorting station located at a 15-foot digital sluice box. Guests will have the chance to sort jewels into different trays, matching the jewels by color and shape.

Walt Disney Imagineering Gives Fans a Behind the Scenes Look at the Cars for the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train

The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is set to open later this spring at the Magic Kingdom and will be the final addition in New Fantasyland.

As fans eagerly await the debut of the new attraction, Disney Imagineering is giving everyone a sneak peek into what it takes to produce the themed cars for the ride.

In this video, Imagineers Ben VanBeusekon and Mary Mac Eachin explain the creative process behind the creation of the mine cars.

New Fantasyland Celebrates One Year Anniversary at the Magic Kingdom

New Fantasyland, which was the largest expansion at the Magic Kingdom, celebrated its one year anniversary on December 6.

On its opening day last year there was an official dedication ceremony with Once Upon a Time star Ginnifer Goodwin, recording star Jordin Sparks, and Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Chairman Tom Staggs.

The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is set to open in the spring of 2014, completing the New Fantasyland expansion at the Magic Kingdom. The ride takes guests on a musical ride through the mines, and was inspired by the classic animated film.

First Mine Train Car for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Arrives at the Magic Kingdom

A few weeks ago we reported that the last piece of track was completed on the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train in New Fantasyland. And now we can report that another piece of the attraction has made its way to the Magic Kingdom - the first train car was delivered to the Magic Kingdom.

The train car is being kept in a backstage area under the watchful eyes of Imagineers, and will soon receive a themed paint job.

Previewing The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train

The last bit of the New Fantasyland is still under construction at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom, but each day fans get a little closer to getting to ride on the "Seven Dwarfs Mine Train." The opening date is set for "later this Spring" but when exactly we still don't know. Walls have been down and a there were even some test riders recently. The rock-work is getting its finishing touches and the top of the mountain planted.
