Disney Research has recently revealed its Layered Fabric 3D Printer in collaboration with Carnegie Mellon University. This new 3D printer comes after the research arm of The Walt Disney Company revealed its needle-felting machine last year.

AT&T Is the Official Wireless Provider for Disney Parks

Disney Parks and AT&T announced that AT&T is now the official wireless provider for Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland. The new partnership gives AT&T marketing and branding opportunities including sponsorship runDisney events at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex and other sporting events.

Disney also plans to work with AT&T to educate cast members and guests about AT&T's "It Can Wait" initiative that informs consumers about the dangers of texting while driving.

RFID Payment System Comes to the Contemporary

Radio Frequency ID, or RFID, payment terminals recently started being tested at Disney's Contemporary Resort.

Under this new system, guests staying at a resort will be issued a "Key to the World" resort card. The card will let the guest "pay" for an item, say, at the gift shop with the purchase being added to the guest resort bill. In addition to being a new means to pay for items throughout a resort, the RFID cards will also be equipped to open a guest's room.
