Super Bowl MVP Takes Part in Disney Parade

Not long after his team came out victorious against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Green Bay Packers' quarterback Aaron Rodgers exclaimed those famous words for the cameras: "I'm going to Disney World!" And so he did.

Walt Disney World welcomed the Super Bowl XLV MVP to the Magic Kingdom earlier this week. Rodgers, who threw three touchdown passes and helped lead his team to the ultimate football victory, took part in a ticker tape parade that celebrated the Packers' win.

New Star Tours Attraction Debuts in May

It's been a long, nine month hiatus, but we can finally see the light sabre at the end of the tunnel. Amid the flourish and festivities that surrounded the official debut of the ship the Disney Dream, Disney let fans know that the popular Star Tours will be back in action May 20 at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

Star Tours: The Adventure Continues has received a complete overhaul during its time out of commission. Guests will have a completely new experience with this revamped and reimagined 3D adventure that includes a new pilot, new droids and new excursions into space.

Chocolate, Wine & Romance, Waldorf-Astoria Style

Just in time for Valentine's Day, the swanky Waldorf-Astoria Orlando will be hosting Chocolate, Wine & Romance weekends first on February 12-13 and again February 19-20.

The upscale hotel is featuring special pricing for these luxurious getaways where guests have plenty of opportunities to indulge in wine and chocolate. As an added bonus, the hotel is within the gates of Walt Disney World which enables guests to indulge in some fun as well.

Disney Bridal Showcase Coming in March

If you've ever dreamed of a Disney wedding, you might want to mark your calendar. Walt Disney World's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa will host a very special Bridal Showcase March 18 - 20.

Couples thinking of tying the knot at Walt Disney World will be given the opportunity to learn all about Disney weddings. Tours of areas used for ceremonies and receptions are a highlight of the Showcase. Prospective brides and grooms will also have the chance to attend question and answer sessions with the Disney wedding team.

$25 Million Renovations for Sheraton Safari

The Sheraton Safari recently gained some new owners and will undergoing a transformation to the tune of $25 million. Earlier this month, the New York-based companies AREA Property Partners and Winston Harton Holdings, LLC, purchased the hotel for an undisclosed amount.

Renovations on the 489-room hotel were set to commence immediately following the sale with an anticipated completion in spring 2012. The hotel will keep the Sheraton name even after the renovations are complete.

The Sheraton Safari is located on Apopka Vineland Road right outside Walt Disney World.

Walt Disney World Safari VIP Weekend With Jane Goodall

The answer: seeing Disney a whole new way while rubbing elbows with a noted primatologist and helping out a great cause. The question: what could you be doing on February 18-21 of this year? Dr. Jane Goodall is heading up the Walt Disney World Safari VIP Weekend, a fundraising event that will benefit the Jane Goodall Institute.

2011 Disney Fan Club Events Announced

D23, the Official Disney Fan Club, has a great line up of events planned for 2011. The club has a wide range of activities that is sure to please Disney fans of all ages, so mark your calendars now.

On January 29, there is a special preview screening planned of the new Disney Junior show "Jake and the Never Land Pirates." Two eleven minute episodes of the animated series will be shown at the preview, and star David Arquette, who provides the voice for Skulky, will be on hand with Disney Geek Jeff Epstein for a Q & A session.
