Some November Walt Disney World Park Hours Updates

If there is one thing we can count on at Disney right now, it's that everything is subject to change. Back in September operating hours at all four Disney World parks were reduced. It's not surprising with kids going back to school ini some form or another, September is typically a slower month. That being said, when the November calendar was revealed, it first appeared that these shortened hours would continue.

Disney Springs Closes Early Due To Curfew And A Message From Disney Leaders

Civil unrest occurring across the nation has prompted action from Disney as Orlando and Orange County institute a curfew following nights of rioting over the death of George Floyd. Disney Springs will be closing early until further notice to allow guests and cast members the ability to make it home in time. Disney Company leadership CEO Bob Chapek, Chairman of Disney Bob Iger, and Senior Vice President, Chief Diversity Officer of The Walt Disney Company Latondra Newton also released a joint statement to Cast Members regarding this time of civil unrest.

BREAKING NEWS Walt Disney World Extends Closures

This evening, after the stock market closed, the @DisneyParksNews twitter account released a statement that the Walt Disney World and Disneyland closures would be extended until further notice and Disney cast members (not including operating partners) would be paid through April 18, 2020.

Live at Disney: The Golden Oak Community

Have you ever dreamed about living at Disney World? I know that I have! Well there is a new exclusive residential community opening at Disney World.

The Golden Oak Community will feature 450 homesites that will be located in a number of distinct neighborhoods. The first four neighborhoods are Carolwood Reserve, Carolwood, Kimball Trace, and Silverbrook. Carolwood Reserve will be the most exclusive of the neighborhoods, featuring eight homes each on three-quarters of an acre.

New Haunted Mansion Queue

The Haunted Mansion Queue got a makeover this past year and it is awesome! New additions include new interactive crypts and new tombstones that feature fun variations on familiar Haunted Mansion characters.

Looking Back: It's a Small World

Some people love it and for others it is the bane of their Disney existence. We are talking It's a Small World today, exploring the origins and history of this Disney hallmark.

For those of you who have never ridden It's a Small World, the attraction is an interior boat cruise that features over 300 brightly costumed audio-animatronic dolls in the style of children of the world. There is an It's a Small World attraction at each of the Walt Disney Parks and Resorts worldwide, and Walt ever only referred to it as "the happiest cruise that ever sailed."

The Perfect Disney Date Night [Facebook Fans]

I was thinking the other day about having date night at Walt Disney World so I posed the question to our Facebook fans, "What's your perfect Disney World Date Night?" The responses were great so I thought that I would share them with you!

Morocco Fez House

Located between France and Japan in Epcot's World Showcase is the Morocco pavilion. It is here that we find one of our favorite rare finds in Epcot, the Morocco Fez House.

The Fez House represents a typical Moroccan home with its beautiful mosaic tiles, carvings, and artifacts from daily life.

The Bellevue Lounge

One of the many "rare finds" at Disney's Boardwalk Inn and Resort, the Bellevue Lounge is a great place to relax and enjoy a drink after a long day at the parks. The Bellevue Lounge is tucked away right off the main lobby. If you can't find it just ask one of the Cast Members and they will point you in the right direction.

The Bellevue Lounge is modeled after a 1930s sitting room and features board games and working radios playing shows from eras past. A light breakfast can be found here in addition to drinks during the evening hours.

We got some great answers so a big thank you goes out to everyone who participated! A quick breakdown of the responses shows that Tower of Terror is the overall favorite with Toy Story Mania! coming in second, and Rock 'n' Roller Coaster placing third.
