Port Orleans French Quarter Lobby Reopens after Refurbishment

Last month the lobby at Port Orleans French Quarter was reopened after a several-months long refurbishment. The official rededication of the lobby happened on July 18 and was presided over by POFQ's General Manager Val Bunting.

AT&T Is the Official Wireless Provider for Disney Parks

Disney Parks and AT&T announced that AT&T is now the official wireless provider for Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland. The new partnership gives AT&T marketing and branding opportunities including sponsorship runDisney events at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex and other sporting events.

Disney also plans to work with AT&T to educate cast members and guests about AT&T's "It Can Wait" initiative that informs consumers about the dangers of texting while driving.

Walt Disney Worlds Salutes U.S. Military with Special Rates on Rooms and Park Tickets

The Walt Disney World Resort has announced its latest special pricing for tickets and rooms for active duty United States military personnel, retirees, and their families.

From August 12, 2013 through September 24, 2014 active and retired U.S. military personnel - including active and retired members of the United States Coast Guard, National Guard, and Reservists - or their spouses can purchase discounted tickets for the Magic Kingdom.

Three-Day Charity Walk Planned for This Fall at the Walt Disney World Resort

This November the Walt Disney World Resort will, for the first time ever, be home to a three-day charity walk sponsored by For A Cause.

The Walk The World event is part of the A Walk Around The World Fundraising Walking Event series and is planned for November 14-18.

For A Cause is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that plans multi-day charity walks in vacation destinations. All participants are allowed to walk for the charity of their choice.

Take A Peak At The 2013 Epcot Food and Wine Festival Menus

The menus are out for the 18th Epcot International Food & Wine Festival in Walt Disney World. With 30 fantastic Marketplace Booths scattered around World Showcase Promenade there's sure to be something to tempt the taste of even the pickiest eater. New additions this year include Scotland, the return of Brazil, and a new Coffee Cart in the American Pavilion.

Magic Band Technology Possibly Boosting Guest Spending at Walt Disney World

New Hidden Mickey Pins Arriving at Disney Parks This Month

The next collection of the 2013 Hidden Mickey pins are being released later this month at Disneyland and the Walt Disney World Resort.

If you don't know what the Hidden Mickey Pins are, they're given to cast members to use for pin trading with guests and each pin features a small Mickey Mouse icon. The pins sets are different at Disneyland and Walt Disney World, so if you're lucky enough to make it to both coasts you might have quite a collection!

Tinker Bell Half Marathon Sold Out, Other Races Filling Up Quickly

If you're planning on running any races during the Tinker Bell Half Marathon Weekend or the Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend, you better run to your computers and register now.

The Tinker Bell Half Marathon sold out within two days after registration opened, and the Glass Slipper Challenge and Enchanted 10K race during the Princess Half Marathon Weekend at Walt Disney World are also sold out.

Walt Disney World Resort Donates Money to Central Florida Charities in Recognition of Disney VoluntEARS

Throughout the month of June the Walt Disney World Resort donated nearly $1 million to nonprofits and community organizations in Central Florida in recognition of more than 230,000 hours donated by Disney VoluntEARS.

The funds - known at Disney EARS to You grants - were earmarked by cast members for 500 nonprofits and service groups, including Give Kids the World, SPCA of Central Florida, and the Central Florida Film Festival.
