Magic Band Accessories Debut at the Walt Disney World Resort

As the beta testing of the Magic Band continues at the Walt Disney World Resort, it's being reported that some stores on property are selling accessories for the Magic Bands.

The Magic Bands are lightweight, flexible wristbands that will be used by guests to enter the Walt Disney World parks, access FastPass+ attractions, and more. They are part of the MyMagic+ guest experience that Disney is slowing rolling out to guests.

Celebrate Father’s Day with a Golf Getaway at the Swan and Dolphin Hotel

If you aren't sure what to get Dad for Father's Day this year, think about treating him to a golf getaway at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotel.

A golf getaway includes an overnight stay at the Swan or Dolphin, a round of golf for two people, and transportation to and from the course. Rates for this Father's Day Golf Getaway start at $321 per room. Hotel guests will also receive preferred tee times at the Walt Disney World courses.

Unofficial Gay Day Merchandise Sold at Magic Kingdom During Annual Event

Despite its neutral stance on the annual Gay Days, Walt Disney World is selling merchandise that unofficially celebrates the event.

The items include designs incorporating rainbows, which is a symbol of the gay-pride movement. Products include red tank tops with a rainbow-colored Mickey Mouse head, a rainbow mug, a rainbow wallet, and Mickey Mouse Vinylmations in rainbow colors. These items were displayed with other rainbow items that are found year-round in the parks including pins and antenna toppers.

Tourists Take Joy Ride on Stolen Golf Cart at Disney’s Boardwalk

In an example of what not to do while at Walt Disney World, two tourists stole a Disney Cast Member's golf cart and went for a joy ride through the Boardwalk entertainment area.

The two men - Micheal Kulesza from Massachusetts and Donald Rossi from New York - were charged with grand theft after their arrest by the Orange County Sheriff's Office. Both men were holding beers at the time of their arrest.
