ADR day :)....with a hiccup :(

Hello all!

Today was 180 from my check in day so I made *almost* all of my ADRS

I am in WDW from Dec 3-10

Dec 3 Ohana
Dec 4 Turf Club
Dec 5 none this is MVMCP day so we will do QS...maybe a Kona breakfast out of pocket
Dec 6 Boma
Dec 7 Via Napoli
Dec 8
Dec 9 Cape May Cafe
(all dinners)

The Hiccup: I tried to make reservations at the California Grill for the 8th but the online reservation system said nothing was available at all that day, could they have booked solid in less than 5 minutes on a week that is considered "value season" do you think? I hope not, and I have my fingers and toes crossed!

Has anyone been able to secure Cali Grill reservations?

I know that the Disney Food Blog said that reservations were being taken for late November. This is the dinner I am most looking forward to, I really hope I can get in! eeeek

California grill is closed for refurbishment. They are not going to be taking any reservations until they officially announce an opening date now. JoAnn was lucky and was able to secure a reservation for her Nov trip when they were taking reservations for a while, but they stopped and are no longer taking any.

Great ADR's I would try speaking with an actual Disney agent. They would best be able to answer this one.

I'm seconding what MrHub said.

My suggestion is to keep checking back every day to try for that Cali Grill reservation. Once they do open, they will go quickly because not only is it popular with travelers, but I know a lot of locals that eat there frequently as well. In addition the refurbishment will have even more folks trying to get in.

Kristen, I'll definitly keep checking everyday. But i'm hopefull knowing its not just me and I imagine I'll be able to get something but i'm not uncrossing my fingers till I get it!

While I'll be pretty bummed if I dont get an ADR at CG i'm pretty pleased with the rest of my ADRs, first time at Via Napoli (thought it would be a good place to rest while drinking around the world) and am excited to try the Turf Club for the first time on the advice of Mrhub (that chocolate expresso torte picture in an earlier thread sold it). I also havent been to Boma since 2010 so i'm excited to eat there again as well.

I've been on the phone a few times lately to make dining reservations and checked on Cali Grill for the first 2 weeks of November and was told basically what mrhub said earlier. Hopefully someone will post here on the forum when it becomes available, and just in case it doesn't, make an alternate choice now that you can change later.
