AKL Resort Fan Site

Hey guys, I just finished putting together a tribute site to the Animal Kingdom Lodge and Villas. Haven't really publicized it yet, but would love feedback from our users, since they're the best anyway!

Check it out at:

Nice job, Brad! If I could afford to stay at a deluxe resort, that one would be high on my list. I hope I have time to spend a few hours there during my next trip, at any rate.

Good evening!

On my last trip to WDW, December 6-16, 2007, I stayed in room 5103 in Animal Kingdom Lodge from December 11-16, 2007. It was the "back five" of a ten-night stay which began with five nights (during the height of Mousefest) at All Star Movies, my first "resort hop".

By way of explanation, I am attempting to stay in every resort on property in my lifetime. I've stayed in every value resort; BC; WL; AKL; and POFQ so far.

Room 5103 faces the lobby and the Arusha Savannah. AKL is one of the most beautiful Disney resorts; the attention to detail is amazing. Its pool, named Uzima Springs, is one of the best on property, with crystal-clear water. I remember floating on my back in the pool at midday, looking up at a cloudless December sky, and at the kraal (semicircular)-shaped resort, and thinking, This is the life!

What a great thing to read first thing in the morning, just as I start my work day. mickey Reminds me of my very VERY favorite thing to do--as a person who has historically spent most of her time in the freezing Northeast--in Disney World: relax in the pool!

I'm like a little kid! I can be surrounded by cool rides, characters, and theme parks, and all I want to do is swim in the hotel pool! laugh
