Allie's Exhausting, Crazy, Super Fun October Trip Report

Thank you all very much for reading and for all the compliments! I really enjoyed writing this...it was ALMOST as good as being back there and I really like that I have this to come back and read when I'm missing Disney.

I thought of you when I met her! I kept thinking "Aw, Magic Mirror would have LOVED this!"

Day 7 Coming Home

Our last day was a very early morning for us since our flight left at 9am. I believe our ME bus was scheduled for 6:30am if I remember correctly, so we had a shuttle come pick us up from our room at 6:15 to get over to the main building. Luckily we had done most of the packing the night before so I only got up 20 min beforehand. I tried really hard to stay awake for the video on ME to the airport, but I just couldn't keep my eyes open.

Once at the airport, we checked our bags and got our boarding passes and then headed into the Disney Store just outside security to get a little taste of Disney before we left. Apparently this was not a good idea as I was about two steps into the store when I started crying. I felt really childish, but not only was I over-exhausted, I just really didn't want to leave! It's weird because when we went to Mexico for our honeymoon the year before for a week, we really ready to come home at the end of the trip. We both had a really hard time letting go of our Disney vacation though.

After a LONG process at security, we found our gate and then grabbed some breakfast. Jon had a Burger King sandwich and I had a very soggy tuna salad sandwich from one of the convenience stores (I know, at 7:30 in the morning. I'm weird.) We sat and ate and looked through all our pictures from the trip and I teared up again. The flight was really uneventful, I'm never one that can sleep on an airplane but I was so exhausted that I was passed out for most of the trip. We got back into Minneapolis around noon and headed home.

Jon and I both had the time of our lives and I'm so lucky to have shared this with him. Reality is hard to come back to but I take solace in the fact that I know we'll be back. Jon even discussed getting AP, though I don't think that'll be happening anytime soon since flights are so expensive that we can't make it out there several times a year. It was comforting to know that he was on board with making this a regular vacation spot for us, though!

Our next trip we're planning for late 2014, early 2015. My baby sisters are graduating high school a year apart (one in May 2014, one in May 2015) so we want to surprise them and take them to Disney as a graduation present/final hoorah before they go off to college. Both of them have been several times before so we're going to try and make it totally different than any other experience they've had at Disney. Current plans include a lot of resort touring, staying at the Boardwalk, some fine dining, and the Keys to the Kingdom tour. Stay tuned!

I'm very excited to surprise them with it! They haven't been in several years (several more by the time it comes around) and they were beyond jealous when I was bragging to them about this trip!

Definitely! We would tear up Disney, you and I I'll have to try and plan one of our next trips in November so we're there at the same time as you and Mase

We could make a team effort to get her back on Tower of Terror....

Deal! Poor Jess, you're just never going to hear the end of that!

But in 3 weeks and 2 days, you'll just be beginning!

And when you get home there's always the next trip to start planning!

Nope, you just owe me one trip to WDW!

Only teasing! But I would be lying if I said I wouldn't try and get you on something else you haven't done...EE perhaps?

Thanks, Nancy! This getting dug back up caused me to re-read the report too and it made me miss Disney! It was such a great trip!
