Annual Pass tip

Hey everybody, I'm brand new to these boards but I posted about this on twitter and the webmaster of WDW(For grownups) asked me to post this to make their day laugh . Let me start off with a bit of a story...I'm getting ready to head down to WDW next Friday but my plane won't get in until 7:30pm which means I won't get to my resort until 9. That next Epcot has EMH which I'd love to go to but the ticket windows at the parks will be closed by then so I couldn't buy my Annual Pass there. Needless to say when i realized this I was quite worried, so I spoke with a CM at the ticket purchasing number and she gave me a GREAT way around this
So...Here's where my tip begins:
If you will be arriving at WDW after the Parks' ticketing windows have closed and want to get your AP so you can go to Extra Magic Hours you aren't out of luck! What you need to do is call the wdw ticketing number or 407-WDW-MAGIC(939-6244). You will then order your Annual Pass and tell them you will be picking it up once you get to WDW and they will give you a confirmation/order number. Once you arrive at WDW you will need to go Guest Relations at DownTown Disney. There you will give them your photo ID and(I believe) the credit card you used. You will now have your Annual Pass! Go play in the parks!

I had no idea you could do this, but it is VERY helpful to be able to do so. Hold this helps or interests some of the people on these boards Smile

This is a great tip. I've had this exact issue before and it actually somewhat changed my plans. My AP was expired and we were showing up on Friday night. Now this wasn't the ONLY reason, but it factored in when we decided to just show up on Saturday morning instead.

Thanks Ayacullo! Welcome to the boards too btw!

Welcome Ayacullo! I envy your trip. I love the Coronado Springs, particularly that little food court they have.
Good eatin' there!

Thanks! We do, some of the nights are going to be dinner with friends of ours. And a fun trip to the 50's Primetime. BUT one of the nights there we're having a romantic dinner together at the Yachtsman, it'll be my first time eating there and I'm rather excited(mmmm wagyu beef...droool). And of course we'll be watching illuminations and wishes together Smile

Mmm! Yachtsman's great! Try to request a table near the window--so romantic!

Also, you should hang out over by the Yacht Club boat dock. Maybe you'll get lucky like cdub:

free illuminations cruise!

It was awesome! biggrin

Yachtsman and Le Cellier vie for my favorite steak in the "world." Certainly if I'm really in the mood for straight-up steak though I go with Yachtsman as the mushroom risotto tends to be a strong flavor in the Le Cellier filet.

Have you guys been to Yachtsman before?

PS. Welcome!

Thats a great idea. She DID express interest in going on a DCL trip. I'd love to go on one.

I could not be happier with this website so far, if I had posted this on a...certain...magic wdw forum...I would have received a million posts about how everyone already knows that and i just wasted their time. People here seem much friendlier mickey

Agreed! I haven't been here very long myself, but have had a blast. Everyone is interested in the same basic stuff, and everyone puts their stamp on the info. And unlike Groucho Marx who said "I wouldn't want to belong to a club that would have me as a member", I'm happy as can be to be here!

i didn't know that and it really is very handy. who wants to waste their first day just because they get there late.

also, welcome to the board ayucullo! i used to have to spend some time in jersey for work. much like nyc i think it is much more fun to be there for short periods of time, especially if it is the winter.

I HATE the winters here, I can't wait to be in the 70 and 80 degree weather

It's really surreal when you see like the Euro Disney where they have snow sometimes. The Magic Kingdom with actual snow just looks wrong.

First vacation together, but she's been to WDW before?

She has, her dad used to work for Metlife so they were able to get discount tickets. But the last time she went was 2004 so quite a lot has changed or been added since then. She is VERY excited to get to ride EE and the new SSE.

It's great getting to see someone ride something for the first time, especially a great ride like EE!

FYI: I wondered about how long Downtown Disney's guest relations was open (in case you got there REALLY late) and found this on Intercot:

Guest Relations: 8:30 a.m.- 11 p.m. (1-407-828-3058)
