Another one from the UK!

Good afternoon fellow grown-ups,

My name is Chris and as you guessed I am from the UK (well England to be exact).

Me (25) and my girlfriend Jess (21) are off to the World in September and while she is signed up to a 'traditional' Disney forum I thought i'd search for something a little different and stumbled across this one for grown ups.

We are traveling down to London Gatwick from the Midlands on 31st August and check in however our flight isn't until the next day, where we fly into Orlando International.

We have done lots and lots of planning and have made lots of lists however, we have made our final list (i hope) which I will share soon once it's been agreed with the Boss (i mean girlfriend Wink ).

Most of our ADR's have been booked including the keys to the kindgom tour which I am really geeking out about Smile

We have both been to Orlando before however this is our first time as 'grown-ups' and it is also our first official holiday together.

Anyway, I wanted to introduce myself and look forward to speaking to some of you over the coming weeks.

Chris

I will try and do a pre trip report but we are stopping at Coronado springs (I understand the first time it's been available to uk residents?).

We have booked so far ADRs at mama Melrose fantasmic dinner package, le cellier, crystal palace with pooh and friends, planet Hollywood and I am going to try and squeeze in both California grill and artist point but it'll will probably be only one. The other nights we are either in city walk or international drive.

We will make our trip (s ahem lol) to casey's corner as well Wink

I've never booked stuff so far in advance but after my last trip to Orlando with my parents i learnt that pre booking is the only way to get where you want to eat.

Thank you all for the kind welcomes

Are you originally from the midlands?

It's not the best place to live here but it's home. One day I shall move away but I don't feel ready for that yet Smile

No, I'm originally from Bedfordshire/Buckinghamshire

Outside of Disney I can reccomend the Hard Rock Cafe at City Walk, If you like Planet Hollywood, you should like that too. Also, the Red Canyon Grill on I-Drive is worth a look. If you go to Seaworld, Shark's Underwater Grill is good too, they have a fish tank built into the bar.

Can I say thank you to all that have welcomed me.

I've had a look around and posted a few threads and feel this is a lot more welcoming than other disney sites that i've used in the past.

I shall be sticking around so apologies if you're sick of me already Wink

We try to make that our MO around here mickey

Welcome welcome! We believe that the more, the merrier, and we love to hear different perspectives. Your parents taught you a very valuable lesson in making your plans ahead of time. The other lesson I'm sure they imparted is...be flexible. Hahaha! - it's a tightrope walk between planning and preparing for the unexpected.

What are you most excited about on this, your first trip to Orlando as a grown up?
